Anyone still playing this? Able to convince me that it's worth the $50 right now? The only thing that was really holding me back was the fear of it being less than 15 hours of playtime. So yeah, two weeks, final verdicts?

IGN: I don't play MS
The game is definitely a lot of fun. I downloaded the .iso over Thanksgiving break and played through the first 2 1/2 worlds in about 5-6 hours. Dunno how many worlds there are; I haven't played it since break since I don't have a Wii at my apartment.
I haven't bought a Wii game since launch so I can't really say if I'd pay $50 for it but if you liked the originals you'll definitely like this. The co-op mode is really well done and the game should be played in that mode if at all possible, in my opinion. The single player mode limits you to using Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong kind of just acts like a power-up, giving you more hearts and a small hover. Co-op lacks all the friendly fire that ruins games like New Super Mario Bros. and the game feels the exact same, which was really surprising.
Oh, just want to say that the game is easy, but 10x harder when you try to collect everything. There's a lot of waving bonuses in your face so that even I can't resist trying to figure out how to get them...and subsequently losing 10 lives trying to get one KONG medal. The original games did not make collecting all the secrets nearly as difficult.
And it might just be me, but the game has insanely long load times for everything.

Thanks Dusk. You convinced me to buy it. And I don't regret it at all.
Game is amazing. Beautiful, fun, time attack mode is REALLY HARD, exploration is rewarding. Squawks is a freaking troll though. He always starts squawking at a cliff which causes me to think I should jump in.

.. I still haven't touched it in a couple weeks.
I'd play more if my other two Wiimotes weren't nonworking, so we could 2player it up.

I just finished up World 7. Been taking it slow.
