And don't forget... not everyone has gear that's got % based potentials yet... nor can afford it or find it (mostly due to the alines being everywhere).

Lower level players have a harder time getting the outfit maxed, however, since they can't make 205 medals a day.

Hell, the acc you can get from one potentialed lvl 71+ equip is so much better than the visitor DEX outfit that it aint even funny. Also 80 dex for Arcglaive can easily come from good old normal scrolls and items like HT necklace and a scar hat, and leave the potential for % STR, or ACC if you really need it. Just remember that your acc need won't be the same after BB, simply because you will not be able to hit much higher leveled foes regardless if you have 999 acc or not.

my overall that has 17 dex on it for my pirate also has 3% all stats and 3% str. That's already better than all the str i could get from the maxed out suit.

after much time spent on this quest, the only thing I'm going to be using permanent visitor equipment for is equipping higher level gear where it would otherwise not be possible to do so...

scroll the v. equipment with the stat you lack, equip the v equipment, then swap in the equipment you couldn't wear previously... it's the same concept of how my 33 luk bishop can equip all reverse equipment... potential the reverse equipment and you get the best of both the statless/lowstat world, with all the potential of higher level equips.

I could go hunt for mage overalls to try to find one with a good potential bonus already on it. Yeah it would take a while, but:

40mins-1hour on medal quests one day, 180 medals a day, about 1250 to start
48 cores needed to get everything to +12*50=2400 medals
18 cores needed to get to +30 *50= 900
10 more cores for 5 above max = 500

3800 medals total-1250 start=2550 medals

2550/180=~9-14 hours to get the overall to +35
10-12 hours to get to suit permanent according to you= 19-26 hours for a +35 overall

Less time consuming to hunt for potential equips.

Not to mention you can grind the same hours and level up.
