Bad gameguard update?
#21
I hardly see how this is an issue. You're just nitpicking pointless pomegranate. On top of that, Vista pretty much COMES WITH IT, so who cares? You're looking for things that don't matter. Not having to install something is not some HUGE SUPER COOL ADVANTAGE, which is the POINT of this off topic discusison to begin with.

My IE7 works fine with Maple open. It would be nice to have more details of the problem -- perhaps the people who are having trouble with IE have malware on their computers, attached to IE, and hence the new GameGuard is affecting it.

Incidentally, does such a build of IE7 truly exist?

Your answer?
Windows Vista Rolleyes
It comes "built in"

Guys, can we stop arguing and have a dramatic play in ch. 1 fm 7 that reenacts one of many ancient Greek mass-orgies in praise of Aphrodite to the fruity music of Ludibrium? Please? Pretty pretty please? Redface Glitter

no offense but a lot of your responses to people are fairly flame-ish, they are suggesting ways to help, but they were alternatives rather than attacking the source mainly.

first, have you tried the more obvious stuff like deleting the gg folder and letting maple fix it to see if that works?

I kinda mentioned that solution earlier in this thread already. Tongue Most of the time, it's probably GG that messed up in updating, so a wipe of the folder and having MS redownload GG should do the trick.

Have you checked though? Antivirus/spy/adware scanning or poking around in the registry scan logs.

Hmm, sort of related to this.. Last night I logged in prior to the server check. I got a gameguard update and everything was fine... But when I tried to log in after the server check I got an error. "Error 340: Unable to connect to GameGuard update server", and a IE tab opens up (which coincidentally no browsers except for FF work on my computer... so I cannot use Opera which saddens me). I thought it may have been from a bad gameguard update so I wiped the folder like Flip suggested and still the same problem! =\
