I can get as far as the part where you have to enter your email and password when installing it. I don't remember the pass for the email and at&t refuses to reset it. Is there anyway to bypass the installation and/or just set it up without the email?

Just call Quest to see what e-mail you registered with.

Sorry, I always thought that AT&T and Qwest were related companies since from what I see use the same DSL modem. Have you tried calling them, explaining the situation, and asking them for your password?

[COLOR="Indigo"]The way you're wording your opening post is confusing.
Is the e-mail provided by AT&T? There is nearly ALWAYS a way to reset the password for an e-mail--many of them also require an alternate e-mail address to be provided in the event you have issues.
Are you the owner of the account? Sometimes they don't like to deal with anyone except the one paying the bills.
Have you contacted them via phone and/or e-mail? If you've tried one but not the other, it's worth it to give the other a shot.
@above-->2wire is just a brand name of modem/router; entirely separate from the companies themselves. Motorola is another fairly popular one.

How many times have you called ATT? From my experience, different people give you different responses, so if one denies to reset your password, call again.

[COLOR="Indigo"]And have you tried contacting Billing? Also, like that other poster above mentioned, you may want to call back--often times you can get different/better answers from another customer service rep.
