Do you Name your Pokemon?
#21
I've been nicknaming every single Pokemon I catch (I also catch pretty much every single new Pokemon that I find)~
Usually I'll just name them based on a single feature, but here and there I'll come up with a neat-sounding one (to me).

Not sure why, I just think it's fun, especially when I can go into Pokemon-amie and play with a Pokemon that I named =3

I've also really been a fan of how the games don't let you change traded Pokemon's nicknames, so whenever I Wonder-Trade/GTS away a Pokemon, I feel all happy knowing that I traded away 'Knight' the Karrablast over to their hopefully-happy new owner =]

Their actual names are better than anything I could come up with, and it's awkward naming them something they may not even "fit" after evolving.

This is my feelings.

Plus, I don't want to screw someone with a name they would not like if I were to trade said Pokemon.

I prefer the original names but sometimes I will for my favourites.

Nicknaming my Pokes for once.

Going with a Little Busters! theme.

Would had gone Rewrite, Da Capo, Love Live!, or Milky Holmes Theme, but that would require making my entire team female.

If I have a good team, I nickname the pokemon with something silly. For example: if I have a lead Tyranitar that runs after setting a stealth rock, I would nickname him "Time2Flee". At the same time, I think people would expect what I would do by then (so I name him "Spike"). :b

Well, I have only played Red version of Pokemon. At that time I really liked the names of all the Pokemon. I think it was because I followed the T.V Show and I wanted to mimic it. XP

No, not really. In the past I occasionally took the time to nickname them, but it was mostly so their names didn't appear in all capitals. But it's not necessary anymore.
