Southperry gaming awards (phase 2 (send in your nominations!))

How did you gauge that there was a lack of interest? I would have voted for games but I declined to nominate anything because I'm lazy and I figured the games in the 4-5 categories that I would have nominated anything for were pretty popular and would already be nominated by someone else.

I got 8 PMs for nominees even after multiple reminders to get them in. Even if people had a reason for not doing it, the simple fact is that almost no one did. I even went as far as to PM some people to try and pick things up.

I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to think when no one appears to be interested enough to vote.

If we do it again next year I think having a panel to pick the top games of the year and then just having people vote on them in polls would be more ideal because the less people have to work the more inclined they'll be to take the time to participate.
