how do you argue..

There are people who are just simply uneducated. They do not understand rationality, reasoning or argumentation. It doesn't necessarily mean they're 'dumb'. It just means they didn't have the opportunity to be educated or just didn't want to be. I find it better just to nod and agree with these people because since you 'can't win'. If you're not gonna back down to a person who's wrong and won't admit they're wrong, then you're just as stubborn as they are. "The greatest battles are the battles not fought".

The person who did that to me wasn't "dumb" but he was uneducated, "stubborn" and manipulative. For example, he'd do something nasty to me, then I'd tell him it was rude, and then he spent 3 minutes bull$hitting, inevitably concluidng that what he did to me was MY fault. He flunked out of three colleges (one a community college) and I graduated Georgetown. But he always felt he was smarter than me. Uneducated, yes. But in a way also dumb, becasue bull$hit is dumb.

People who won't admit that they are wrong aren't mature enough to be conscious of what they are saying or to realize the mistakes they are making. Not only they are being overly stubborn, but they could only defend their silly opinions because they think they are much smarter than others and they just want to feed their hungry for feeling superior to others. And that, I hate that so much. Then again, you find yourself with only a few solutions:
- To nicely try to convince them with clear facts. If they have a higher level of intelligence, they will TRY to take in consideration your explanations, but explain himself too. A friendly debate, what.
- If the person is just giving you a piece of his mind and only spitting some blahblah, you bark back at him with the same intensity [this makes things worse most of the time, but it can be a nice win at times too if you know what you are saying].
- You can shallow back a little of your pride and let him be. What goes around come around. He WILL get the spitting spit back at him one day and you will be the one to have the best laugh.

To sum up, you have to be smart and chose the right thing to do.
