Hmm, for me it was always important to come up with an actual name per say and not something that could be construed as a 'handle' type name. So I just went into the archives of my own short stories to get the IGNs of my chars. This helps me keep the RPG aspect of things and keep playing all these chars I have
Rualyn (main 17x NL) - Half-Vampire/half-Kitsune char of my Darkfallen Knights story. Daughter of the black fox Kurai. Which since there are no fox pets in Maple... I got a black bunny and named him Kurai
KLnno (100 DB) - The actual main char of Darkfallen Knights, but Kinno was taken so I did it with the L. She was cast into hell for a time and then got back later so that's why she's lower than Rui. Married to Kurai so Rui is her step-daughter. Her pet on maple is a White Tiger named Susano... who was her ninja clan leader.
Bellonna (14x Bishop) - Yes another DFN char, Kinno's servant who worked with Rui in her absence.
Setanos (12x DrK) - Daemon Celestine from the Age of Apocalypse long-running PBeM game that I have been DMing since Oct of 1996.
Tivanodil/Minhirath (120 Wind Archer/8x Wild Hunter) - Actually this is the same char separated into two. That's my main char in another PBeM game but its his 1st and last name. After he semi-evolved into a archer/priest they just stopped calling him by his name and started referring him as The Minhirath. So the Wild Hunter is essentially the more powerful evolution of that char in my eyes.
Rhamiei (8x Evan) - Angel of Empathy. Created when I was going through a rough period and I liked the name. The L version was taken.
Anjyera (9x Aran) - Is... me. Its the Japanese butchered phonic of my name. NX'd like a very, very old and badly written and cheesy story me and a group of friends did.
Zahryia (120 Thunderbreaker) - change up of the name of the Slavic Goddess of Beauty.
Taeelisa/Baduria (6x Flame Wizard/ 8x Mechanic) - Not any story to them. They were clients at work and I thought the names were unique.
As you can see I lean heavily into the RPG side, mystics, mythology and yadda yadda. I'm very much influenced by Japanese culture, anime, and mythologies.
