Yet another Federal Judge rules Obamacare Unconstitutional.
kanevaldier Wrote:Well we have issues too. That situation has been going on for a very long time. Just because we dont agree doesnt make it wrong. If the people of china had a problem with it they would something about it. Just like it is in north korea. The north koreans dont stand up and challenge their government. The problem with most americans is that they believe that the rest of the world should be like us. We dont have a perfect society and niether does the rest of the world. Fact is that each society has it pluses and minuses. So who are we to judge?

I do not think forced labor, imprisonment based on religious or political beliefs, and imprisonment of your Nobel Peace Prize winners looks good from any moral point of reference.

The people of Totalitarian and Oligarchy governments often have no one to turn to for help as well. It's hard to challenge a government armed with guns and tanks, when all you have are sticks and stones, or even nothing at all.

By your line of reasoning, then the issues in egypt and other parts of the middle east should not be taking place. However it is and they are getting somewhere with that. Every citizen uprising in history has happened with a mass of weaker opponents fighting the power base in order to accomplish the common goal of those who are not in power. Take the U.S. for example. Its founding fathers were going up against a far stronger opponent in the british red coats. They had better weapons, better tactics, they even had a far superior supply line and oh yes, the worlds strongest naval force. It took some time and us buying help from outside sources to accomplish that goal. In the end, the U.S.A. was formed and here we are. Much is the same with most nations.

If there were jobs to be had, you're right. I DO work 2 jobs and barely get by every month. Should I have to get a 3rd job to pay for this if I could even find one? What would I sacrifice? Monday's breakfast or Friday's dinner for my children? I've sacrificed plenty during this recession and still can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We have basic necessities in my house. Heck, I haven't even had cable tv in I don't know how long. My children honestly have no clue what the latest and greatest shows are because WE CAN'T AFFORD IT! I have Internet mostly to keep in touch with my family back east. We have a phone, pay rent, electricity, gas, water, groceries, etc and that's IT! I suppose I could start riding my bike to work to save on gas but then I'd never see my children and I'd never sleep.

Proof that everything works in theory but it doesn't mean it will happen.

Health insurance, for the most part, is actually bad.

You have no idea how much I agree. While I believe insurance itself was not bad in concept (like communism),but in practice it gives a few groups far more power than they should have and of course it alters people's behaviours.
Although my problem is that I believe insurance should exist for serious life threatening illnesses and injuries.
Being reminded of the effects of insurance itself does make me want to sit back down and reconsider some more effective forms of healthcare, and your statement has reinforced my beliefs that the free market does work.

Well, eventually I hope our country does reform properly and effectively.

Also, I cant believe I missed a small detail. I have mentioned that Obama himself declared healthcare mandates and punishments to not be effective and proper methods, but I didnt realize that the Judge that ruled Obamacare illegal cited Obama himself in his ruling.
