Well... more like it'll be my aunt paying for it as a birthday present to me, but that's besides the point. She has the money, and I get to choose.
I have a total budget of $800. This accounts for tax (and S&H if it's online). I'm somewhat picky at what I'm looking for, but in general I'd like to be using the laptop for hardcore gaming anywhere. I've found a few goodies like a 6 GB RAM Asus in Best Buy (SKU: 9835955) or this Gateway laptop from Tigerdirect, but I'd like to get some difference of opinion.
Mainly what I ideally would like to get is:
Quad-core CPU
At least 4 GB RAM
Nvidia video card with dedicated memory
+6 hours battery life
32-bit Win7
A keyboard with numpad.
Now, I wouldn't mind if the CPU is a dual-core, and I can work with a 64-bit Win7, but the video card and battery life is essential. Any help for me to decide on something good?
