Nexon America's answer about Masteria
Polka Wrote:he no longer works for nexon so a work-related holiday would have no effect on him posting. however, he came in order to do something else so... i wouldn't count on him coming back often, if ever.
Its labor day weekend. Don't be so pessimistic.

wow o.0. mr. prose really moved up in the world o.0. ... working on a square enix game ? fantasy earth zero ? instead of a nexon game o.0.

hmmm I guess I'll check it out... guessing that was the other thing he came to southperry to do o.0....

as for it being a weekend ... yes thats probably why he isn't posting.

I was all hyped for the game to come out and to my disappointment it never would successfully launch on any machine I own. I gave up on it entirely it's first week because of that.

WhAT...........?

Minimum Specs:
OS: Windows 2000 / XP /Vista / 7
CPU: Pentium 4 2.0 Ghz
RAM: 1 GB RAM
HDD: 3 GB Free
Graphics Card: nVIDIA GeForce FX5200 series / ATI Radeon X700 series

What kind of 'machines' do you own? TI 83 Plus? The minimum specs are for machines that came out in 2004... you haven't had a decent rig since then? Come on Eosian....

am disappoint

And if it didn't launch on any system you own due to software issues..... why wouldn't you wait over a week to see who else might've had the issue so a workaround/patch could be made? Not waiting a week is kinda impatient...

With my vast brains, I could prolly help you get it going.

My machines are quite godly, but thanks for the random assumptions, egotism and implied insults.

I think the problem is it doesn't like 64 bit.
Most things made for systems over five years old don't.

It gets to the main loader and then does absolutely nothing but close past that point. That's as far as it got every periodic test thereafter so I stopped testing.
Definition of insanity and all.

What happened to you, girl? You used to love my sarcasm.... I suppose I had been gone from southperry for too long. *hugs eosian* I'm just messing around, ok?

I'm guessing you had originally tried running as Admin and setting up winxp sp3 compatability and that did absolutely nada so you didn't bother to wait for the client to be updated... which I'm guessing it is now.

Tried every trick in the book down to running in a virtual instance of a 32 bit OS.
Game just was spiteful.

I will doubtlessly try it again when whatever diversion I currently have gets old. But it was a depressing letdown. I had my entire guild poised to move into it day one and bllllllpth. Aborted that.

I know I'm trying to advise Confucius here but have you tried installing Windows XP on dual-boot?

I would have just made a 30GB partition to install a 32 bit OS and run everything from there, or wait for the client to be updated for compatability.

It's better than trying to run anything in a virtual server......simply because you can't share resources (such as GPU) when running things in virtual mode (this especially includes XP in virtual mode). Current limitations of GPU and CPU prevent the components from working both in real time. That is a parallel task that is... not something our tech is ready to do on a high level yet.

I wanna know about your godly computers so please PM me the specs..........coz I'm into that sorta thing. Gives my brain stuff to chew on. kk gonna stop going OT in this thread

Wait, he works at square enix now? That would be cool if he was gm_pasta lol.

Edit: I just realized that he posted in the "What are you playing now thread" in response to my "mini review" about Fantasy Earth Zero, so yes he does work there.... wow that is cool.

No, he works at Gamepot on a game that's built in conjunction with Square-Enix.
There's a difference.

ExProse do you think the closure of Nexon Vancouver/Humanature Studios as the reason Masteria has been all but abandoned?

To me, it sounds like there's nothing in the pipeline at the moment.

i suppose, but with the NDA that she's under would probably make it difficult to do anything else. (i also think she implied that they were getting tired of the community complaining about masteria!)

i wonder why they dropped masteria though, didn't they "promise" 1 update a year or something when they first started with this? like 2008 it was released, 2009 they added the castle. i think they implied that krakia would be next iirc. nxprose/joew were the only ones that almost constantly hyped it on the nexon forums as well, i guess if they're gone we won't be seeing anything for a long time.

Right, I was taken aback at first and got confused, that is what I meant that he works for the publishing company not the developers.
I know the difference f3 of course! Smile

What was it exactly? I heard it was around but never did the research to care about it.

they were supposed to develop more games/content....... that was the gist of it. I think they were gonna team up with MTV too. Guess that went nowhere.

Is that where Sugar Rush and Audition came from?
