Blaze is really impressive too. Hard to believe it was only level 1 in that video.
EDIT: I also noticed he had 5 SP after getting 10th mastery. Do new mastery levels give additional SP when you get them?
I had not even bothered to run the numbers through any sort of calculator, nor had I noticed it, but since you mentioned the Skeles' Dark resistance I guess I have to retrofit one of the mage calculators with Evan data to see its effects.
I also didn't notice the extra SP following level up, however I know that for some earlier mastery levels, upon reaching them three extra SP were awarded so at levels 10, 20, etc. you get three additional SP each but I cannot be sure if this follows for all mastery levels up to 160 because at that point there would be even more extra SP which you had mentioned previously or somewhere else.

There's a part in the video where he cancels Elemental Reset and uses Dark Fog. You'll see he hits 30k's instead of 60k's.
The SP is in the part where he adds points to Dark Fog. He opens his skill window and in 10th mastery you can see he has 5 SP. Man, Evans' SP is so confusing ;[

I am saddened to announce that Ghost Lettering may in fact only provide a damage boost to the caster and not party members or persons attacking the same monster, usually boss. However on the positive front, Ghost Lettering seems to increase damage by around 10%~15%. If anyone wants a more accurate number, they can through and average all Hatless Evan's Illusions with and without Ghost Lettering's effect and compute from there but roughly 10% to 15% is my mathing. So without further ado, I present a twofer from KMST (yes, KMST so use any necessary assumptions in differences between Tespia and real gameplay) featuring both Evans and the new Golden Temple/Thailand/Siam Boss.
A Ghost Lettering is cast in the beginning but Hat Evan decides not to attack during its duration, my evidence for the above comes from a second GL cast at 0:49 from Hatless Evan and the Illusion cast right after it from Hat Evan (move second-by-second if necessary). I do not know if Hat Evan was debuffed or forgot to buff, but it would appear that her damage is even lower when GL is in effect than at other points in the video, I hope that this does not mean that GL's effect lowers attack for others...
In related Hatless Evan video productions, the first 30 or so seconds of this video shows some Zakum action going on if you can call the few seconds action. The video itself is cutoff by some magic dot of non-loading but my question occur in the viewable area and that is, "What is the vertical range of Earthquake (or the hitbox of Zakum's arms)?" because I wouldn't think that Earthquake could hit the 2nd arm from the top.

Chilly Wrote:New video time! Although this video does not provide anything drastically new (level one Blaze and Dark Fog are showcased), I needed an excuse to describe a revelation that I should not have overlooked on my analysis of skills. Though many probably had already realized this, the Evan's Slow is not a cast per use skill like the A/M's Slow. In the skills table in the other thread its placement in the "Misc." section made me think it worked like that but it is a buff that works on a percentage. This would probably explain the reason for the short (time) effect of the buff that I originally rolled my eyes at.
Back to the video, I noticed that at ~1:32 onward as the character is attempting to Blaze the Skelesaurus, the Skelesaurus' buff prevented the Blaze from hitting it, range problem, simultaneous skill problem? I do not know what happening here or can I remember as an I/L the same happening to my CL, so what to you think?
Interesting find. I'm not sure what was preventing the Skele from getting hit, but it reminded me of certain Papulatus attack animation frames during which the boss is invincible. However, this can't be an appropriate theory if applied to gMS because, to my knowledge, Skeles don't exibit these momentary invincibility frames when attacked...who knows? Great question, though.

I hear ya. Level 1 Blaze doing 67k crits on Fire neutral? That's extremely impressive. And yes, reaching a "Mastery Plateau," we'll call it (120, 160, etc.), grants the Evan additional SP (similar to job advancing for other classes).
To Chilly's questions above: I have no idea. You make some keen observations and ask excellent questions, but only someone like Fiel looking at the raw data can answer some of them (in particular, the Earthquake range question).

Aww, too bad it doesn't increase everyone's damage
The damage reduction was probably Dragon Fury canceling out. It is pretty hard to maintain after all since MP has to be between 50% and 80%.

I'm wondering something about Evans with ele weapons.
We know that even while using elemental reset, the 25% damage increase is present, as shown by blaze wizes, so I think we can assume this for Evans. However, isn't there also a damage reduction for using an elemental attack that doesn't get boosted by the weapon? For example, if I were to equip a fire staff and use blizzard, wouldn't my damage be at 75%? If this is true, then that means Evans using a fire staff would get damage reduction for dark cloud, even with elemental reset.
Is the damage reduction present in GMS?

Yes, in theory there should also be a damage reduction with Elemental Reset + EWand. There's no way to actually test it until we get Evans though, since Blaze Wizards only have Fire element attacks. Reducing Dark Fog's damage shouldn't be that much of an issue since it's only used every 20 seconds.

Actually, I think Fire Tusks should answer your question. They're immune to fire, even with reset. The attack becomes 0% fire elemental, but it's just that - fire elemental. It would be considered fire type for the purposes of elewands/staffs.

I agree with Bribery...unfortuantely we won't be able to test it out until we get Evans ourselves...I think because of this reason most Evan's using ele wands will more thank likely max out Blaze before Dark Fog...I know that's my plan (I'm only putting 1 pt into Dark Fog at 160 then going straight Blaze til maxed).

Same. And with the damages we've seen in videos from basic, x point Blazes and Dark Fogs, a few points in each is more than enough ;D.

Maybe Blaze has crappy range for the initial hit? I just watched the video Devil posted and the same thing seems to happen there too.

Maybe it's like Piercing Arrow and it's a increase-dmg-per-monster kind of skill? It'll be interesting at Zakum that's for sure
I wonder if there are any vids of Evans at HT yet...it'll be interesting to see if 1 or 2 evans are put in the melee party or not for purposes of killing the legs (Illusion )
If anyone has footage of Evans at HT I'll worship the ground you walk on lol

Hey all! I think it's about that time to bump up this thread to see if there have been any new Evan videos released since the last one posted on this thread about a month ago. With the whole hype of the new Dual Blade class it seems not many have been talking about Evan but I'm a mage at heart so if anyone has any links to any videos of high level Evans...maybe a few at Zakum or even HT...it'd be awesome if they could be posted
Please and Thank You in advance ^^
