Dark Crystals Creating Negative Stat Items?
#21
y0y0y0y0shi0 Wrote:IIRC, the amount the stats are affected by the Dark Crystals is different for every stat.

look the original stats of overall are:

STR +5, DEX +1, HP +10, DEF 65

the overall on image has those stats:

STR +3, DEX +0, HP +8, DEF 65

we know that Basic Dark Crystal can range to -1 ~2 | 0 | +1 ~2

so he lost 2 STR, 1 ~2 Dex, 2 HP and can be lost 1 ~2 DEF what he got back using a DEF scroll (100% (+1) or 60% (+2 def)).

at least on my point of view, this is what happened... , so theres 2 possibilitys:

since he lost 1 ~2 dex , what could be 2, the item turned into a negative stats, -1 DEX what he got back from 100% scroll.

or, the guy just used a DEF scroll and is not telling the true...

a SS of the clean overall would clear the things Rolleyes

Nobody buys "100% overall dex" scrolls from NPCs one at a time if they are buying more than one. When you double-click on the scroll, a popup window comes out where you can specify how many of the scrolls you want to purchase. If he's buying 10 at once, you put in 10 and get 10 at once. So unless he had a 100% overall def in his inventory from a monster drop, no, he more than likely used 10 100% overall dex scrolls on the item.

I should point out, I tracked him to Kerning scroll seller, which doesnt sell overall DEF 100%, only DEX, you can see in the top of my chat box where i tracked him, but the trade window is blocking :\

NVM bout the tracking part, its just a bit above whats showing.

It just occurred to me that this would be funnier (though extremely game-breaking if abused, and it would be abused) if Nexon had used unsigned numbers for stats, and it rolled around to 255 DEX.

With this in mind, could items that start with 0 stats (Ex. INT on an archer overall) go into the negatives as well?

Im gonna try making some items right now and seeing if I can get negative stats, lol.

Edit:

Brb, 100% Overall Dex scrolls.

Edit again: Sorry, proof says otherwise:

now time to npc these overalls. Keep in mind that it WAS possible, because it's ALWAYS possible for the natural deviation of the equipment from the beginning to vary. My overall here had 67, 2 above average (meaning with the DC removal in mind, it would've been 4 above average, haha). Anyways, time to npc these overalls.

its possible it only took away the exact amount thats on it normally.

Lets say the DC removed 2 dex, yet the natural =/- of maker making was going to add 1 DEX. It even could have taken just 1 DEX away and thats that.

Maybe next time he'll learn to use a Stimulator.

I'm assuming there are Stims for Overalls.

There are, but they arent as common as the others, so they usually need to be hunted. I had already used one that i had when making a temp lvl 100 overall (woot 3 int :O), and i was lucky to get that one and another. Incidentally enough, this same friend blew up another overall on his mage with the other stim :c|
