What would be the best Job to cap at level 50?
#21
Level 50 HP Warrior. You'd own all the PQs. I kid you not.

Most people prefer Dexless Assassins, because they like the high damage and hastee Expensive though. Your results will depend on how much you fund it, and if you're going to use this character purely for PQs, then there is no real point in dumping millions upon millions on the character. I'd prefer getting a nice warrior. Stong, and a lot cheaper.

Brawler. Pwns at room 3/4, does decent damage, knockbacks like, everything (including Jr. Rog), and can stun with two attacks. Everyone likes Brawlers! Right? Right...?

Anyone considered Dawn Warrior to be of significant influece in cpq?

To me that would be the ultimate cpq mule if it could hit stuff. But if you're coin farming who cares right?

My standard dex dit kicked serious ass in PQs.... If you don't wanna put in the money it's not completely essential to go stat-less.

Personally, I'd prefer a Bandit. No idea why. I guess Haste + melee attacks work for me.

what is better is equips that char will wear, no offense theres alot of lol dexless/strless in all pqs i do with my mule, most cant even hit the ellin pq boss or do some significant damage. that idea of statless chars with "decent" equips just dont work cause theres so many ppl with same idea... and statless builds require mesos ^^. anyway my point is if you have good equips in a main char that you can use in a mule, make a mule based with your main, if not... well make a decent attacker (sin, dit, gun, fighter) but dont expect to own the CPQ. mages besides clerics are pretty useless.

the best char for those 3 PQs are sin, gun or dit IMO

Gunslingers are not decent attackers.

I have a level 50 dexless page I've been keeping at that level for ~1 year, for CPQ and LPQ. I haven't done EFPQ yet... but I will once I get my Broken Glasses.

I have observed these things:
  • If you want to be underestimated in CPQ, make a page. Goggleemoticon (Someone once told me that "page isn't a class".)
  • FA is a blessing and a curse. It owns on Alishar and the Rombots (both CPQ and LPQ). It sucks at mass summons in CPQ. If you're going to get FA, might as well make a page... no sense getting asked for Rage more than you have to. Tongue
  • Get a Zhelm and for gosh sakes, don't cover it with CS equips. Instant party invites. <3
  • Zhelms are also pwnage for the de facto +40 accuracy.
  • If you wish to make a dexless sword warrior for CPQ/LPQ, you are going to need a good accuracy/attack scrolled sword for Avoid Ups and Alishar without max Bless. (Soul Singer fails without an attack shield. I had one for ages and hated it. Plus, 2h range is really nice for the Rombots.)
  • Other warriors can probably just use their 43 Maple weapon for those purposes (i.e. spearmen). Definitely get a level 50 weapon also, though, for pure damage.
  • Accuracy is a stumbling block. I can't 100% hit Alishar without my 83 atk/7 dex/13 acc Lion's Fang unless I have near-max Bless, even with a dex cape... so there goes my 84 atk Japanese Map, which is miles faster. And I have put more funding into this character than I suspect you want to use on your char... Depending on your definition of "moderately", anyway. If I had about 20 DEX I'd be fine, but I wanted to continue this char to 51 and far beyond at some point, and AP resets are a ripoff. </3

I also want to throw Crossbowman out there. Back in the day, they were considered top tier for LPQ because they're ranged, they do very nice damage, and they can always hit Alishar. (A few times, I've been the only one who can even hit Alishar more than 50% of the time. Tongue) I know they aren't the best for CPQ, though.

I know everyone is saying make a dit, but do consider. With a boosted Japanese Map, I can attack with the same weapon speed as a dit, but do 3k+ each hit... And SB is a slower attack than Power Strike and especially Power Strike FA. I guess I can sum up this point by saying, Japanese Maps are broken and I love it. Heart

This coupled with the fact that I find unmaxed Haste worse than no Haste at all in LPQ. With random-leveled Haste, you can't jump all those platforms, ropes, and steps the same way you're used to, either unHasted or with max Haste, slowing you down. So your party members might not appreciate the Haste as much as you think...

EDIT: Also, yeah, gunslingers fail in 2nd job.

yea you can hit alot til someone summon avoid up and...

and like you said you didnt tried the ellin pq yet. i have to say the 3rd form of that boss is a beast for that lvl, the avoid is high, kb is high, seal, stun, curse and a 2xk heal ><. i only like to bring pages with me because threaten, besides that is kinda pointless...

edit:

i vouched guns cause 1 of my friends play with one and is doing very well in all PQs, maybe is because the equips that would be really broken for that lvl xD idk, but yea let me change, guns with way overpowered equips are good on 2nd job, they dont miss, got some avoid, native haste (dash) ,recoil and mob skill (weak but is mob, works well on room 3 ~4 and to clear mobs on ellin PQ boss)

Soul masters also rock the house in CPQ but Soul blade is just too slow.

Not really. Fire wiz actually do pretty good in CPQ. Not super pwnsome, but goof enough to get a B by themselves with no special equips or lukless. EPQ they are great enough even at the boss, since besides archers, they likely will be the only one hitting at least 50% of the time. And LPQ... depending the server, you might be instantly grabbed for parties. I know Windia has been having mage shortages for LPQ every now and then. Plus best damage dealer of the mages for the level.

Not that I recommend a Fire Mage for permanent PQ char, but they certainly aren't useless.

Uh, so can a dit. My SBs top 700 on LPQ monsters Goggleemoticon Sins and dits hit harder than warriors on 1v1 in 2nd job. Fact.

Warriors are great because they can mob. This is why I do not have FA on my Fighter (yeah I have 2 CPQ mules lol). It takes a lot more funding to make a good CPQ warrior. I have to use a Maple Dragon Axe to get 13x accuracy on my Fighter (though a ZHelm would definitely fix that) while my dit has 16x accuracy and I'm not even done equipping it. Still need a ZHelm so I can equip my Sai without adding more STR/DEX.

^I have ~115-130 accuracy with my accuracy sword, ~95-110 without, depending on Bless/accuracy pots/which cape I'm using. I have crap accuracy shoes (4 acc) because I'm waiting for Maker to make godly ones. I actually would have higher accuracy, but I can't find any good DEX overalls because I'm female. Also, I don't have DEX earrings, and my bishop should've got an MoN ages ago so I could use my Dep Star on my page, but the runs keep getting canceled.

Hendrix Wrote:yea you can hit alot til someone summon avoid up and...

I can hit over 75% of the time on Avoid Up with my accuracy sword. o.o Meanwhile, with my Map, I can beat two 45+ dits to 200 CP practically by myself (did the other day with two 35- friends as my teammates, one of whom had never CPQed because he just came back to MS)... meaning I can summon faster.

My point about the Japanese Maps is that, with a Faster(2) weapon (i.e. Boosted Map), Power Strike + FA is significantly faster than Savage Blow. :f6: Maps have a longer attack range than daggers, too, although less than most other 2h swords. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought a 700-per-SB-hit dit costs more to fund than a 3.5k-per-PS-hit warrior...

EDIT: For EFPQ, why would any pages have max/near-max Threaten? o_O I realize I built my page before the skill updates made Threaten work on bosses... But FA and Power Guard should be higher priority than Threaten. I have 3 in it, to unlock Power Guard. If I could build my page over again, I'd probably put more points in Booster and forget both Threaten and Power Guard until after level 50. Neither is good enough to use, with only 3 points each.

Eh, I'll go try EFPQ and report back. I've been more interested in my bishop lately, and getting Broken Glasses. I'll try EFPQ at level 50 for a while, though... I had been planning to just level up, since I'm bored out of my skull with CPQ anyway.

My Fighter hits just a bit over 3k with PS and its equips aren't much worse or better than my Dit. Most of the stuff was just thrown together from my old characters so I didn't really put any funding into either. The shared equips are from my main.
Comparison:
Shared - 13 att SCG
Shared - 4 att 6 dex PAC
Shared - Deputy Star
No earrings, trying to get low levelled 9 dex earrings to share
Fighter - 14 dex Blue Chainmail, Bandit - 12 str 4 luk 10 dex Red Pao set
Fighter - 8 acc Red SS, Bandit - 5 dex Black SS
Fighter - 86/11 Maple Dragon Axe, Bandit - 68/5 Maple Wagner (will be upgrading to ~80 att Sai after getting a Zhelm for required 40 str 90 dex)
Fighter - 14 acc 4 dex Brown Bandana, Bandit - 3/3/3/3 Agent Receiver
Bandit - 3 str 4 luk Nimble Wristguard
Fighter has 20 base dex, Bandit has 4 base str 40 base dex.

My dit hits more and is a STR Bandit at a level where STR Bandits are inferior.

About threaten: Not everyone likes FA, and it isn't entirely beneficial. My Fighter has 19 Rage and 18? PG, so I'm sure a Page could have maxed Threaten as well.

I'm surprised that my page hits more than your fighter, considering you're axe. :f6: I have 6 less total watk than you, too.

I might as well post my equips since the common ones aren't as good as yours, so I feel less like I'm bragging.

Gloves: 10 atk 1 luk Purple WG
Cape: 3 att 4 str PAC or 10 dex Icarus (1)
Pendant: 1/1/1/1 90/90 Spiegelmann
no earrings, I use 2 dex temp agent earrings when I've got them
Overall: 4 STR/14 DEX/8 acc Blood Fitted Mail
Shoes: 4 acc RSS or 2/2/2/2 Agent shoes
Weapon: 84 atk/4 str/2 dex Japanese Map or 83 atk/forgot str/7 dex/13 acc Lion's Fang
Helm: 15/15/16/14 (lol 16 int) Zhelm, 20 or 21 acc, I forget

I have 6 dex, though. I use Sniper Pills and Warrior Potions liberally... I'll use those two plus a Speed Pill and a Grilled Cheese before each CPQ starts, while I'm still in Spiegelmann's Office.

Part of my point is that a Japanese Map is a lot different from other warrior weapons at that level, in that it not only has a sword's DPS advantage but is also two whole weapon speeds faster, and is just as fast as a bandit's dagger, since both hit the speed cap at Faster(2) with Booster. And since Power Strike, and especially Power Strike + FA, is a faster attack than Savage Blow, this means that a dit is not necessarily better than a Map user, even if the Map hits a bit lower per hit. It's 5:30 AM so I can't do full DPS calculations without failing hard (and besides, they wouldn't be relevant in CPQ, where you should kill everything in 3 hits or less if you're funded), but I'm trying to say that there's more to the story than damage per hit.

Anyway, I should be hardly using my Lion's Fang at all once Maker comes out. 11+ acc shoes will be pretty easy to make, or at least I feel prepared to do so.

Yeah, if you didn't want FA at all on your page, then you could have max Threaten at those levels. On the other hand... Eh, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth to face throwing extra points into BW skills later on, considering full hybrid is impossible because of separate charges. Besides, I like my FA at level 50. It makes my character into more than just a fighter without Rage, especially in CPQ... since Threaten is a waste of time to cast at all except at bosses.

I have a lv46 bandit with barely any good equips at all, once I hit lv50 on it I'm gonna share the next with it and my bowmaster:

- 13 atk SCG
- 12 dex lv45 earrings (currently using)
- 2/4 facestompers
- 4/6 dex cape.
- 2/2/1/1 Spiegelmann Knecklace
- Red Maple Bandana 2/2/2/2 (Maybe switch to a receiver later)

I'd say if you have some of these items I think any lv50 character can be put on a good use for party quests. As for my case, I'm doing 19 Mastery, 30 SB and 9 Haste or maybe 6 Haste and 3 booster. Most people choose a Warrior to cap at lv50, others a Dexless Sins because of haste and because of naruto fans at all PQs -_-.

Dexless Brawler.

I can solo CPQ 1200 points at level 50 with it if you max out Rombot summons for me. Wink

On stage 3/4? I've seen over 2000 solo points from a Fighter with maxed Rombot summons. Friend had 8x Glowing Whip, 19 att MS shield and 15 att SCG and stuff >_>

Edit: think it was 23xx actually

Yeah 1200 is still low for maxed Rombots compared to Warriors.

I can agree with the Page part. People constantly undestimated me and despite my lack of good equips and funding, I was able to constantly get 800+ cp in CPQ by myself. I was statless but I was using sniper pills before I got into the room (3/4). I remember getting 1k+ on rombots easily but my lack of funding and good equips limited me.
