Sudden Attack
#1
It's better.

Without Sudden Attack, a Night Walker with maxed TT, SP, and CT will do, on average
1425%/s

With Sudden Attack on, a Night Walker will do
1456%/s

Using Sudden Attack before every attack, you are effectively 2% (i.e. 1.02x) stronger.

Cheers.

Just another reason to max Sudden Attack first.

How much does a Windbreaker benefit from their Warcraft 3 Blademaster ripoff skill?

Actually, no. It's only stronger if you have Shadow Partner.

With Wind Shot, 1.3x damage. With Hurricane, 0.29x damage, with my estimate.

I don't get it. WBs version is exactly the same, and their increase is so much higher with wind shot. :[

It's because Wind Shot might as well be two attacks. It's slow and powerful. Like how Barrage might as well be four attacks.

You're saying this stuff only matters if the attack you're using is anywhere from 1 to a few shots that hit really high then? Fair enough, i guess.

2nd job NW is packed anyway. Lol.

The stronger/slower the attack you use following the Sudden Attack the more useful it is. With Wind Shot you sacrifice a few milliseconds doing nothing to improve your DPS for 1.26 seconds. With Sudden Attack you sacrifice the same amount of time to improve your DPS for only .6 seconds. See how that works? The damage increase applies to the next "skill" instead of boosting your damage for a certain amount of time. If you had an attack that took 10 times as long as Triple Throw but did 10 times the damage, you would be dealing the same DPS normally, but the difference lies in the longer attack only needing one cast of Sudden Attack to get the same damage boost to Triple Throw that would take 10 casts.

In comparison, L7 would do 0.93x damage with Sudden Attack every time.

Saves a crapton of stars, too.
Because you don't have soul-star or shadow claw or whatever the hell you call it.
Think things through.

Night Walkers are overpowered because of this!

It needs to be nerfed to only 1% better or lower.

Well, they're the counterpart of the most broken of jobs; what do you expect?

Well, that's assuming Wind Walk is instant. "doesn't really slow you down much" (as quoted from skill tables) != instant. Even 0.1 second delay would bring that figure down by 10%.

I'm assuming Wind Walk is as instantaneous as Dark Sight, or at the least, takes less than 1.26 seconds to cast. From video observation, it obviously takes less than 1.26 seconds.
