A quick summarization of what happened:
Two years ago, this guy sent a ticket to Nexon saying that their MTS glitched up and caused him to loose a 24Watk Maple Shield.
Two years later, in the present, he finally recieves a reply for his ticket, in which Nexon admits to their mistake and awards him 140k maplepoints as compensation.
They also gave him the full 373,364 NX prepaid as if he had sold his maple shield, which is now lost forever.

This is awesome I guess, but after 2 years? That sure is a long time just for a shield, and was the MTS even around 2 years ago?

This guy waited for 2 years.
Last year implies that they only waited for 1 year.
They'll probably get something if they wait another year.

One isolated incident doesn't instantly validate the compensation of hundreds of other hacked persons. Until this happened i doubt you/he thought he'd be compensated, and the people who were hacked shouldn't hope/expect similar compensation because of this.

I know they're not really related, but I wonder if this will lead into more compensation. I know many people who lost quite a bit from those random hackings back in early 2010.

This is not compensation for a Hacking. It's a compensation for an MTS glitch according to the OP -

Well the ticket creation date says Nov 28 2009 (more like year and a half ago, not two years). Thats just before the account hacking spree, so that's why some are hopeful for their friends who got hacked.

Congratulations to that guy. Better late than never, I guess. I just hope people don't start to use this case as an argument every time Nexon's quality of customer support comes into question. It's a step in the right direction but there's still plenty more problems to fix.
