Only works with follow system. You can kick off the other rider by clicking on the mount, and it asks if you want to kick them off.
My guess is that this is like JMS.

It's same as haste. 40% speed, 20% jump.

Yeah, I don't have room for mana bulls and hons so I just go straight up ales. While it's not as cost efficient, i'm not worried about it. I mainly boss anyway, which typically yields a net profit so it's less of an issue.
