One thing i never understood.
Using and AR to get a shiny legendary is cheating (i agree), but resetting the game to REPLAY AN EXPERIENCE INTENDED TO BE PLAYED ONLY ONCE to get a shiny is legit.
IMO, they are both cheating

I don't see how you could make that comparison. It's not like soft-resetting increases your chances.

yes it does. the way its meant to be is you get 1 shot , if its shiny good job, if its not, oh well. Resetting lets you get as many chances as you want for it.

You mess other peoples games up therefore keeping them from having fun
You dont have fun

i hacked Platinum to get items and wild pokemon encounters.
it was fun for me then as i was able to get a wild Darkrai as my 3rd pokemon.
