That way only archers can hit them, and not worry about AMs/Bishops range makes you include NLs though. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - MechMike - 2009-02-12 Maybe the statues parts are support monsters like at Ergoth and the four Grandmasters are on the bottom with most of the Offensive force. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - MetaSeraphim - 2009-02-12 Star Drake Wrote:Exactly. CWK monsters are corrupted versions of the originals. Since windreaver, stormbreaker, firebrand and nightshadow were created in the image of the original branches, crimson guardians would have been a corrupted form of chirstopher crimsonheart so we should have guessed that christopher crimsonheart had 4 arms. Don't jump the gun there. The Crimsonwood Keep monsters are Versalian versions of the old Guilds of Crimsonwood Keep, not of the Grandmasters themselves. From what is said Chirstopher Crimsonheart was of the highest level out of anyone in Crimsonwood Keep, I don't think there would be a whole group of monsters mimicing him, but rather just one copy or whatever. Johnnywup Wrote:That statue is christopher? I don't think so. I think that statue shows a Guild that Chirstopher Crimsonheart trained. IsaacGS Wrote:I've got some evidence to support the "Giant statue is a boss" theory: How does that support that statue being a boss? GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Chameleonic - 2009-02-12 *puts on his Complainer Hat just for Felix" Meh, I've never been a fan of Bosses or PQ's and this doesn't sound like it will be very much "fun" to me. Upward scrolling Totem of Doom...yeah fun. I said ages ago that NxProse has a weird definition of "fun". And I wont be disappointed by the sound of it. I'm guessing 5 Bosses for the 5 classes, one for each of the weapons the statue is holding. I see it holding a Wand, Claw, Sword and Bow in its hands with a Gun on its belt(just like Pirates do )

That means it must be a monster, and something that big isn't just going to be a regular enemy. I'm not saying it's the only thing, it could be a time-sphere type thing, or after you defeat all 4 grandmasters they retreat and summon this, or something else. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Icedfire - 2009-02-12 Shidoshi Wrote:thiefs - dark sight like i said in the IRC earlier today (although not to you) dragon breath would be a good requirement. set a monster's kb to 99,999, max its touch and magic damage, and force archers to db+puppet it across the map. once it hits the left (or right) side, it forces the monster to get destroyed and triggers an event, much like magatia pq. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - MaxHudson - 2009-02-12 I thought kind of the same thing but diffrent. Since Warriors could just rush. Make it so you have to open doors like fluttering hearts and while you do that 3 monsters come at you OHKOing, only can do 1 damage to them. So a Bowman would have to hit them cast puppet while the others open the doors. Just a thought. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Icedfire - 2009-02-12 MaxHudson Wrote:I thought kind of the same thing but diffrent. Since Warriors could just rush. that's why i said max it's touch and magic damage lol. maxing touch would be disastrous if they rushed and got touched, and if you add in a magic attack (beam or instant) then a warrior is screwed cause of their horrid avoid. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - bio9205 - 2009-02-12 IsaacGS Wrote:notice that statue is holding a gun and wearing a knuckle. Very interesting. I think its a claw, not a knuckle o_O Where else is the Thief class represented on the statue, anyway? WOAH. Though i play MSEA, i cant wait to see screenshots of the CWK expansion and PQ >.< It all sounds so epic! GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Dusk - 2009-02-12 I don't really approve of the idea of class-restricted PQs. It doesn't foster teamwork, or make the PQ more inclusive, or anything. It just makes doing the PQ really annoying because you have to look for a specific person just to attempt the damn thing. This problem is particularly prominent in the "dead" PQs - not having a mage in OPQ is a huge annoyance. You can spend a good 30 minutes with a party of 5 waiting for one even on a crowded server. Another example is when you can't GPQ because the only people available don't fill the necessary DS/Tele/30- positions. Why the hell do you need a 30- anyway? It doesn't make noobs feel wanted. Few guilds with a roster of people high-levelled enough to kill Ergoth quickly and efficiently want to keep a steady stream of newbies coming in their guild. 99% of the time, someone is put on a low levelled mule designed specifically for this purpose. I was on an 84 DK trying out Magatia PQ. I went into Juliet's waiting room to see 3 people looking for a 4th member. It was like "Oh look, an 84 DK; clearly, you would be freaking awesome to party with, and we'd love to add you, but we need a bloody mage, which we haven't been able to find for 15 minutes. Too bad." It's bad enough when you need a bunch of mules with second job skills just to do a PQ. Now you're telling me they should require Dragon Breath, a 4th job skill, just to do the PQ? I have to convert my BM in to a DB mule? pineapple that. Edit: Also, the Puppet thing is a pretty tacky idea and more than likely would get screwed up by people who don't understand Puppet 90% of the time. Really, requiring specific classes for specific tasks is not interesting, inclusive, strategic, fun, and I hardly see any positives to it. No PQs should require any specific class (though I'm not saying change the existing ones). Adds more value to the rewards, then. Also, a nice place to meet people and whatnot. And feeling useful is always nice. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Avenge - 2009-02-12 I wonder how many people this PQ will require (hopefully atleast 2-3 parties). Also wondering what rewards they've made for it... hopefully nothing stupid. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Shippo the Fox - 2009-02-12 Skillbook rewards (and I mean rare and hard to get ones). That's what the rewards should be. Obviously don't make them common, but still part of the rewards. GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - VyneDono - 2009-02-12 Please, oh PLEASE, have something drop Advanced Charged Blow in here. ._.; GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - MaxHudson - 2009-02-12 Some quick thoughts on that picture. #1 The Weapons are not attacked and have a darker line to them. I'm geussing that the statue will not move, but we have to break the weapons or hit them for some reason. #2 If we where to fight this things... Will we get platforms or would we jump on its body? #3The multi arms does make me think of CH's guild rather then somthing else. Like the gate keepers there 4 arms and diffrent skills and such. Just a idea, non the less. Last thing I thought of. If we met the owner of each respected guild and found out they are the great great great exc... grand parents of the 4 job instructors haha GM BLOG The Battle of Crimsonwood Keep - Chameleonic - 2009-02-12 After reading some more I think the statue has nothing to do with the PQ at all and is just a red herring from NxProse. lol. It is in all likelihood the statue of Crimsonheart mentioned by Lukan.
