Now own, going to try a guess on a the pass sometime shortly, followed potentially by asking. Tried a bit of solo, and I am still a tad confused. On your base, is it something like dirt>stone? Since wood is a bit hard to come by in the two maps I've tried. Also, do characters carry over from solo to multiplayer? If so, I'll need to make another without "newb" in the name ><.

The best way I've found is to use the Demonite Axe in combination with the shadow armor/2-3 feral claws. You'll be mining so fast that you'll also be able to deflect the fireballs coming at you for the most part.

Obsidian Skull+3 Feral Claws+Cobalt Shield along with the demonite axe and possibly the shadow armor should be good. The Molten Axe works, but speed wise, it is a bit slower so not as good as deflecting against them.

The other option is to go with 2 people - 1 mines, the other kills.

Erich has been hosting and we've all been playing there. He has a few friends that aren't from SP that also play there.

Just find a way to drain it out to the underworld - it'll make mining obsidian super easy to do.

Yea, but it sounds like he wanted to clear out his jungle as well, so draining it to the bottom would be much easier. Besides, buckets only hold 1 square of a liquid - not that effective for mining obsidian (assuming you're doing the infinite water/lava glitch).

In unrelated news i was in what seemed to be a Dungeon, found a few lodes of Gold and iron after excavating the dungeons walls, also found a Devil altar... Ohhh and i almost forgot! A Giant Skeleton head that gave me 999 damage or something like that Rolleyes

i've been trying haha. i always die before i can get to a point to where i can start draining. that large pool is just insanely inconvenient. although it oughta obliterate a lot of that underworld lava

Hay guys.

Is this game any good? I loved Minecraft and I wanna check this out. Looks like Minecraft in 2D with Final Fantasy sprites and Castlevania enemies. I've always been an advocate for originality in vidya games, so I would appreciate input from you Terraria pros. If it is any good, I would gladly fork over money to this influential indie developer.

I'm no terraria pro but it's like minecraft with less building and more exploring/RPG'ing imo.
It's really fun.

Just dig out tiny air pockets for you to breathe. Flippers make things a bit easier, too.
