MS is dying, but I hope all the clingons stay far away from DFO.

Last thing I want is for DFO to become sh.itty like MS. Then again there's a good chance it won't because DFO actually takes some form of effort to get anywhere.

I've attempted to HT 3 times in my maple life. one was successful and the other 2 failed because of D/c hackers or the cave being held. So i'd call that self experience Rolleyes

Maybe D/C hackers and holders aren't there 24/7, but by the time we have been able to organize a run with enough people and etc, there's already something that prevent us from getting in.

You should know that all groups that go may get d/c'd from hackers, including the hackers themselves, and yet there are still successful HT's being done.

I'm sure Phoenix, his guild and alliance can attest to that.

If some people are allowed to successfully run and others are not due to dc hackers, one would therefore conclude they are in league with the hackers themselves.

Lol, the people who do HT in Scania don't hide the fact that they DC others that attempt to.

To be honest I haven't seen anyone HT, except one group that runs at a time when DC hackers are asleep. And I can guarantee you even if you're off a DC hackers radar initially, they won't like you HTing/will find a reason to not like you. Which is my case =O

You can pull off a run, if you're organized enough run past the cave guard dog, and pray to the heavens he was taking a sh.it or something while you signed up. After a while though it's just not worth the effort, though if you go in and have fun till you get dc'ed it's a win in my books.

Hacking is making this game horrible for me.

Getting DC-hacked and defamed all day just because you won a CH1 FM3 spot makes the game stressful rather than fun.

Crappy content doesn't help to it either. Who seriously has had the urge to revisit Neo City after finishing the quests? That was an abysmal waste of an update.

But hey it's not that bad, on day I can login and get hacked or banned for no reason. Should I quit before that happens?

I believe they're losing the battle, mainly because the audience is outrgrowing the game, and their commercials aren't drawing in new crowds.
The only way they can save it is by rapidly developing the rest of NLC, and finishing ALL of it by the end of the year, which would generate massive amounts of popularity.

Hmm I didn't mean any specific type of hacking, just hackers in general ruining things in whatever way. Though I suppose this is indeed far worse than hackers botting/ vaccing etc everywhere.

Their comercials are so bad that when you watch one, you decide to play WoW Rolleyes (except for the Aran one, and it wasn't made by Nexon America)

Something I've noticed lately is how harder it has become to sell anything in FM. Be that because of the massive hackings, the IP bans or just the game being less popular, I consider that evidence that there is less people playing the game.

Hmm. Can I go along with the "I couldn't care less if Maple is dying or not" option? Honestly... I still play GMS because at least for myself... the game is still fun in some aspects and I still do have friends in Windia. Not to mention it makes good casting material when I stream live.

If it lives, it'll live. If it dies, meh, I still have my friends and we can all just do something else.

The point of this thread isn't to do something about it. It's to discuss our thoughts on a degrading fanbase of a company who, quite honestly, could have a lot of potential, but instead chooses to suck ass in every way imaginable. We all wish we could do something about it, but the sad fact of the matter is, we're just grains of sand on Nexon's oil spilled beaches. The fact that I see less and less people playing Maple doesn't surprise me at all. All up until recently when the stun/freeze glitch was fixed, I didn't even play my Marksman because his training was pathetically slow, due to the fact that blizzard was useless. But then again, you can just about sum any MMO up this way. People come into them for a while, have their fun, and most of the time leave and don't come back. Case in point: me with World of Warcraft. I'm an engaged, working man who is getting married in 13 months, and hopefully will have children sometime in the next 2 years. With my job, graduate school, and wedding planning, things get rather hectic around our place. I play Maple Story when I can, but more than likely once we start having children and Bec's desire to play games diminishes with mine, MS will be nothing more than a faint memory along with everything else I played. I can't think of any normal person that would say they'd still want to be spending hours upon hours behind a computer, playing any MMO when they're 50.

Such is life, people come and people go. But in this case, Nexon just forces them out and slams the door in their faces.

Not as messed up as what happened in GMS and MSEA, but it's a start. We only have 10 legit level 200's, and all these happened on the same day. They somehow do not appear on the rankings.
