However, from what I've been told, as of right now, nobody has it (except with certain skills that give temporary 100% status resist) because the new scale of status resistance is 0-999 and existing %'s were converted to these points without scaling. (So, for example, all Cygnus link skills put together only give you 25/999 status resistance). I hope that's unintended and will be changed soon. Now for my question: Do you get Core Gemstones for leveling up? Or does V include any other motivation to level up beyond 210, besides the Hyper Stats we already have? IMO that should not be a problem in itself since that'll always be the case but I do see a problem with the whales getting that strong, once they start killing all the bosses in a few hits how long will they remain playing and would the loss of whales make nexon redo their mistakes with potential? make content for those whales meanwhile the rest of the population gets practically blocked from such content due to not being able to reach those numbers. Is it additive on existing passive bonuses to those skills?
Still not gonna place second and third job skills on par with fourth job ones though. Like who would choose to upgrade Brandish when you could upgrade Raging Blow instead for example? If so, that is actually really good for a new market... something the game desperately needs. Cores are not an item that go in your inventory. They appear directly in your V Matrix. Question Wrote:Does anyone know if you are allow to have more than one decent skill? or you have to replace or remove the old skill core? Decent skills are categorized as Skill Cores, so it means you can indeed have multiple equipped simultaneously. You cannot with Special Cores. If you want, you can fill your Matrix with all Skill Cores. SaptaZapta Wrote:I guess either I or Spadow misunderstood, then. He specifically gave the example of Blink as a skill with max level 1. Sorry, I didn't check thoroughly. Blink is a Skill Core so it has a maximum level of 50. Special Cores have a purple background in their icon. I corrected this in my explanation. I don't know if you get Core Gemstones by leveling up, we'll have to wait till the update hits the public server. In the test server they are given for free with a daily limit. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Justin - 2016-06-28 Ugh, that stinks then. :\ they really should make these things tradable somehow. I really feel like they'd be the new mastery books and would be really good for the economy overall. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Ironical - 2016-06-28 While core is not an item itself, there are core gemstones and core gemstones fragments, which are untradeable too. I feel like they should at least allow tradeability within account, so they can still prove useful. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Justin - 2016-06-28 I dunno, I just don't understand the mindset that Maplestory's developers have now. Why is almost everything untradeable? It's annoying. The game is literally turning into single player. I somewhat understand it on reboot, but even on regular servers the vast majority of items, event or not, are untradeable. Why? This entire thing has had such great potential, but so far has been squandered at every level. I'd like to think that feedback is an option, but as I understand it this is being pushed onto live servers pretty soon, no? I really feel like they'd be the new mastery books and would be really good for the economy overall. I absolutely hated the mastery book system and the way certain players and guilds, who "owned" the bosses that dropped certain books, controlled the market. Then when the mastery books were changed so as to drop from normal mobs, botters profited. And, as I said above, making the cores or core gemstones tradeable would mean that the meso-rich would have all the best cores, widening the damage gap further (as if removing the cap didn't make it bad enough already). At least with each character having to get their own cores (can't even use your farming mules as Rebooters do for meso), the floor will rise evenly. I agree with you that having everything in the game untradeable is a very annoying policy, and most of the time it's completely unjustified (or justified only by greed, see (P)SoKable items), but in this case I think it's for the best. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - byakugan - 2016-06-28 They better add new animations for enhanced skills. I don't care if the new animation would require to max the level of the skill to 100 or whatever, without new animations they are not improvements to the skill, they are simply a polish over what we already have with a ribbon put on it and a card saying "welcome to 5th job" Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Justin - 2016-06-28 SaptaZapta Wrote:I absolutely hated the mastery book system and the way certain players and guilds, who "owned" the bosses that dropped certain books, controlled the market. I agree with you on the way the mastery book system was done, but I feel like this system could be done differently since it appears the cores you earn are randomized. If cores are tradeable, then yeah, the rich get stronger, but where is the problem in that? The rich aren't somehow making things more difficult for the poor players. In fact, the poor players will be able to make money off of the rich selling cores to said rich players. Rich players will always be able to get stronger more quickly, that's just an unavoidable fact, but restricting the entire system because of a widening gap (they don't even care about this anymore, as evidenced by the cap removal) is a bit silly in my eyes. Getting your cores maxed out will take an eternity on your own, and demand would always be there if they are made tradeable. The need for a spiced up economy may not exist in kms because of additional options, but in GMS... our economy is horrible. Nothing is worth anything other than pre scrolled and pre cubed equipment. Everything that drops from bosses and regular mobs is effectively worthless. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Cactuar - 2016-06-28 IIRC all final damage sources are multiplicative with each other, but I could be wrong on that. Not really worth giving a new animation. It might be better aesthetically. It could work like Demon Slayer's Demon Lash upgrades, where each new upgrade increases the damage and appearance. But then again, it could probably use some more upgrades than just final damage. |
