Also, TIL that not only does my Deoxys have a special attack boosting nature but it also has max IVs in special attack (not sure if the max IVs is a common thing or I just got lucky). EV trained it for special attack, now at the maximum amount of special attack possible at it's level

Nintendo have announced details of the next patch for Pokémon Omega Ruby& Alpha Sapphire. This patch, V. 1.2, is due for release early next month and will fix a glitch where the game may freeze when the game shifts to the ending movie from the Hall of Fame.
