BombsAway Wrote:So, let's talk about books.

A good book is like a good snack, you can always have another. So, our next update, "New Features & New Creatures!", will have a very long, very robust book. But not just any book.

The Monster Book.

The Monster Book holds many secrets about the marvelous monsters of MapleStory--HP/MP, drops, the whole nine. Only the pages are blank. How do you fill out the pages? Easy, you hunt monsters and collect their drop cards. After you collect one, hit "B" on your keeyboard, and you can learn more information about that monster. If that weren't enough, there are also certain buffs associated with the areas and monster should you collect all monster card types.

And we're going to hold an event for those of you who are up to the challenge. Get ready!

So we have the Family System, More Master Monsters, and the Monster Book, but that's not all. We've revamped quite a few processes within the game, everything from quest progression, item inventory, maps, bugs, monster drops, placements, the tutortial, new mini-dungeons, nearly every part of the game is being adjusted or prepared for further content to come.

We've heard your feedback and are ready to throw down some of the biggest updates we have to offer. No stone left unturned, no area untouched. We'll reveal more as time approaches, but we're going to satisfy everyone, Level 1 - 200.

And we know what some of you are thinking: "There's no way! How will they satisfy everyone?"
Our answer: "You'll see."

So strap yourselves in and get ready for the ride!

now lets all wait for the gm blog about the maker skill! HeartHeartHeartHeartHeartHeartHeartHeartHeartHeart

Lol. At the beginning, I wouldn't have said that your prediction was right, because it seemed too much for NEXON to release Family System AND Monster Book.. but apparently I was wrong.. grats for getting your prediction right, and I'm so excited for Monster Book!! Heart

I don't think they'll release Maker Skill, anyway.

I actually have faith in Nexon just this once. Look at THMS' latest update.

They got all these updates with the Maker skill and Magatia, and since we're a little behind with the recent KMS updates, I think we should too.

We'll probably get the Time Control Room like them, so it'll be a placeholder for Elin. Smile

Predicting: monster book - Kabanaw - 2009-04-04

They said "Our next update." That means... their next update.

This reminds me of when the TF2 forums thought the Scout update was going to be the Spy update Rolleyes

Haven't read through the whole thread, but I'm sure I'm not the only one to notice this is the second time they said they were trying to prepare us for future content. Obviously they're trying to do what they can to increase the high level population, but for what? Are they underestimating the already high lvl community that much? The first thing that comes to anyones mind is neo tokyo and time temple. I wonder if GMS could take down pink bean if it were released tomorrow? Maybe krakia is going to kick the crap out of CWK :f6:.

Anywayssssss done rambling now

Predicting: monster book - Sarah - 2009-04-04

On the bright side of all of this, it pretty much guarantee's there are no plans to shut down Maple any time soon. There's no way they would release this much content only to shut the game down in a month. Smile

Oh pomegranade.

I forgot about that..

So, Krakia may possibly be an higher-leveled area than Crimsonwood Keep.. :f6:

Predicting: monster book - Chameleonic - 2009-04-04

Yeah all those Duku overrun the Keep. Wink

Predicting: monster book - nighthawkspt - 2009-04-04

I don't care about the monster book one bit haha. Yeah I just had to say that. Well the mini dungeons seem alright I guess. I've been looking for a new training map since cgs seal a lot more now. I wonder what drop changes and such that they will apply. Should be an interesting patch I guess. There will be a lot of changes but I'm guessing one thing they can't/dont plan to change is that they won't ever be able to patch these wz hacksHothead

No, they said somewhere, Krakian were weaker, but had more in numbers...
It's in the Masteria future things and proof thread...

And really the GMs themselves don't play in the data, nor do the web developers. I still think you're expecting too much from trained monkey positions. They should however be partnering with the people who know the data and getting info, but I'm not even sure there is anyone in Nexon America who really understands their data half as well some of the players.
ur right Maple GM's Lack actual maplestory knowledge in MapleEurope i got a GM in my Buddylist "GMneru"he added me since im in Kradia's top Guild Solaris i guess, and he wanted to know whats going on in the maple community. we had some serious conversations he even told me how to become a GM and gave me the info about a GM job application (Lol i still got the info)
later on i asked him if he played maplestory himself before becoming a GM
he said that he played maplestory and was like lvl 3x ish i Loled IRL
cause i dont think u understand MS being only lvl 30 thats not even high end gaming like Boss Fights etc..
he also said things 2 me like: can u kill zakum? im like: ohh common ima lvl 122 DK ofc i cant everybody knows that lol especially a GM should know that.
what i just wrote has nothing to do with the actual quote above cause thats about the game data but still i wanted to point out that some GM's really lack a good set of brains like they talk nonsense not knowing the game itself.Poast

this is part of the last gm blogg.. makes me wonder exacly what they are gonna come up with that will please high levels..

-its not an area, all high level area's are way too big to fit into this patch, also its not an area patch but more something in the line with monster book and mini bosses.

-the maker skill? thats not specifically for high levels, though they are included aswell? its alwo quite a big content update aswell seeing as all the quests that come along with the skill

-my guess (lol i like to guess Tongue) would be the kms 4th job skill changes, since the 2nd changes came here relatively fast, and this would also be in the line of the other type of contents that we are getting this patch..

any opinions?

The monsters we fight there ARE the invading army. Or at least the Versalian invaders.

Oh god. I wonder how great a godsend Dukus will be for Archmages, considering they are supposed to be neutral to all elements, meaning their +99 MA advantage a level 30 AM ultimate would have would make them that much closer to OHKO-ing sooner. Not to mention how popular it'd be for level 150+ people.

MasPan Wrote:The monsters we fight there ARE the invading army. Or at least the Versalian invaders.

krakia will be weak and versal will be strongest continent
versal will include the last boss of [probably] masteria naricain which controls grandmasters and he will be a match to horntail and pink bean fights i guess.
and on patch:dammmmmmm why it takes so long to release the usual patch information or another gm blog or patch date announcement, its already the 6th and all the events end on the 7th except one that ends on the 10th...
so 10th last chance

Predicting: monster book - Xakris - 2009-04-06

I think Notice about patch will be tomorrow and on 8th there will be a (awesome<3) patch

No, it'll be the monster book. The monster book is something that is NOT level specific therefore it is for EVERYONE, levels 1 - 200. Same with the family system even some of the boss monsters. They're VERY ranged in levels.

I don't get how people aren't getting this!

Predicting: monster book - Koppee - 2009-04-06

I hope they also don't change the maps : ( It would suck if they took the iron pigs out of MM area and changed everything on the "Endangered Monsters" thread T__T I need to get the books before the change : (
