Sure. Need a Caterpie in exchange?

Speaking of boosted EXP, my Braixen has been getting boosted EXP since last night for absolutely no reason whatsoever. I thought it might have been an O-Power, but surely that wouldn't last overnight!

Sure c; What's your trainer name?

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - JayShee - 2013-10-13

Anyone know where Nickname NPC is located?

I remember seeing him somewhere; he was in the Pokemon Center in either Santalune City or Lumiose City, it's one of those two. I can't confirm for sure yet since I'm pretty far away and I don't have Fly yet.

My trainer's name is Astrée.

Give me a sec; I've gotta apply a screen protector to my 2DS.

EDIT: Never mind. A Weedle just appeared while I was searching for a Caterpie. Still need a Caterpie anyway?

Wasn't he that C-something town after Lumiose?

You're right, it's in Camphrier Town; I just checked my town map and it also mentions important NPCs beside the picture of the town apparently, the Name Rater is there JayShee in the Pokemon Center.

See Wrote:Okay, thanks. Hmmmm... I really like Charizard X, but his mega ability kinda sucks. I think I'll pick up a Bulbasaur buuuttt euurrggg this decision is hard.

evidently you can get the other two starters at the end of the game in some sort of safari feature thingymajig, so I wouldn't worry too much.

Also you may get the gen 6 starter that is weak to your at the end too.

Bah, didn't notice Tyrunt only evolves in the day time. Welp, just gonna have to evolve it in the morning when I wake up. Made it to through the 6th gym today. God Fairy-type can be rude, especially when you forget the new weakness/strengths/immunities, and type-changes.

Pineapple Snorlax. He wasted nearly 10 of my balls. :/

Just got past gym 2. There's so much to see and do in this game.
 Spoiler

Current team:
Amaura (to be nicknamed. Stupid fossil). Lv 26
Mawile (Sandy) Lv 27
Frogadier (Simon) Lv 33
Croagunk (Ricardo) Lv 28
Ninjask (Julia) Lv 29
??? (HM Slave, currently Steelix). For combat purposes this will probably be a Fire or Electric type of some sort. Very likely Fire, or at least something that can switch in on a Fire attack safely, considering 4 pokemon on my team get hit HARD by Fire.

Just critical captured a Spritzee. I didn't know this was still a thing...that said, there's always a sparkle + some kind of aura-ish ring emanating from the ball whenever it sucks a pokemon in anyway so...

^ May I suggest Fossidiot? You called it a stupid fossil after all Rolleyes

The ball shakes in the air before it lands if it's a critical capture.

I just caught Xerneas with one Ultra Ball Tongue

Thanks, and congratulations!

On an unrelated note, does anyone have any idea what the ball effects are in Super Training? Pikachu's is obvious: a ball with multiple afterimages represents Rapid-fire, which fires off about 4 to 5 balls per tap instead of just one. It's a little difficult to get used to, but highly abusable especially when red goals pop up.

Meanwhile, Braixen has an orange ball icon, Kirlia has a blue ball with speed lines (I think Fennekin's does too), and Venipede has a green ball with some kind of impact effect as though it just hit a wall or something. My guess is that colour represents typing and is purely aesthetic...but what's with Venipede's ball? Does it bounce off the floor or something?

My team at the start of Day 2.

I love how many Pokemon there are. There are SO many choices for what team you want to build. It's amazing. I find myself exploring Kalos and catching all the Pokemon; I'm not even at the second gym. No rush. Tongue

Serebii.net states Litleo's gender ratio as 50:50.

Bullsh*t. I've come across at least 20 Litleos so far, and every last one of them has been freakin' female.

 Spoiler

Finally got into the style shop in Lumiose City. everything there is SUPER expensive, Spent 100,000 each on a shirt and a bag.
Then I went to the stylist and changed my hair and eye colour to match mine.
