But it seems really weird that Angel Ray has no range... it's a freaking arrow, shouldn't it... travel in air?... a lot more? I play both characters and they still need to become 120.
[1.2.320] Massive Buff - Farfetch'd - 2010-06-21 You guys realize that the previous Assaulter was 1360% damage on one monster? That alone is stronger than a ton of 4th job skills. :| Right now it's 720% on one monster, that's still as strong as, or even stronger than some 3rd job skills. Band of Thieves was ultimately buffed from 390%/5 mobs to 460%(230%+230%)/5 mobs. The speed of BoT pretty damn fast so a continuous chain of 460%/5 mobs is already ridiculous on its own. AND, considering Bandits are melee classes, the 1300% reflect skill is tons more useful than it is on a NL. Getting hit for 1500 damage, that's like 19k damage back right there. Hell, steal ATM is better than Assaulter. It's pathetically weak and slow and, while maybe it needed the nerf, still doesn't compare to anything especially if it no longer ignores WDEF. The problem is, assassinate still has the beyond dumbass charging system in addition to being slow. Yeah, but we only take 50% damage so it's really closer to 750% reflected. 520% reflected with Greed. Be happy about it :O that feels like an awesome skill selection... I mean it's actually a 3rd job skill OVERPOWERING a 4th job skill on 2+ targets! How sweet is that? Plus, NL's really needed that kind of choice when attacking. You know, something more than spamming TT. Excellent way to go, and I'm especially glad to see the Big Bang changes (along with new pictures). Big Bang, at max, is now just as strong as Meteor Shower per monster, and with (what looks to be) a roughly 300% AoE range compared to ~120% is very, very nice. Paralyze changes look nice too, but it feels weird looking at the skill as a mobbing AoE after using it as a directional single target for so long. But it will definitely be nice to train with, comboing with Big Bang to freeze + finish. In the end, I hope Bishops are extremely excited. THESE are the buffs they needed without crafting a new skill, and, though AR desperately needs a range increase (300% please), things are definitely looking up for the class. Oh, and I'm still curious to see how the Demon/Summon combo pans out with ArchMages. We now have concrete data about the DoT effects, but whether or not the skills reset mob elements and make them weak to a particular element is still unknown. EXACTLY! That's EXACTLY all I wanted from my NL. More choice of attacks. In fact! The combination of Drain buffed to 240% and the removal of PUNCHOUT make drain the ultimate life saver now. Less dependant on criticals to survive. So yeah, I think this is all that NLs needed. IF ANYTHING, make flash jump lagless like recoil shot, but I'm loving these changes anyways, so it seems like a good way to stay now. We won't be so dependant on it now, since they rethought the way criticals work (Before it only helped NLs, now it helps everyone). Sure, we'll have good DPS, but everyone's getting even, and the potential scroll system just makes everyone way more equal. I'm loving how this is being handled.
