They give a pretty much glowing review saying how much they love every aspect of the game, with the only complaints being "too much water" and "too many HMs", and then they slapped the game with a rating of 7.8 because of those 2 things. They even mentioned in the review that they have cut down on HM use by making Flash into a TM and invalidating the need for Fly with Mega Latias and Mega Latios. Plus surfing speed has increased dramatically from Platinum onwards. It's pretty ridiculous. Also a review mentioned you can fly anywhere now, including routes and other locations, not just towns. Well seeing as how I don't care as much about Megas anymore that greatly helps with my decision making. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - KhainiWest - 2014-11-18 I'm surprised Kotaku didn't go on a tyrant that Pokemon is sexist lmfao Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Malthe - 2014-11-18 We're talking about "10/10 it's okay" IGN here. Their ratings for games will probably never be accurate seeing as how they give games better or worse scores for the most arbitrary reasons. They gave black2/white2 a 9.6/10 and you know i liked the black2/white2 games but they were not 9.6/10 compared to for example the 9/10 they gave pokémon X/Y. Not to mention how one of their own branches like for example IGN italy gives completely different scores and just gave ORAS a 9/10. IGN scores mean very little. Suffice it to say that players will find a ton of things to do once the main story is done—there are many Pokémon to collect, new places to battle, mega stones to find, and story things to tackle. The latter is of particular note, as the game sheds new light on the story in ORAS, as well as other Pokémon games. I'm looking forward to seeing what sorts of wild theories the revelations featured in the post game elicit from Pokémon fans. We'll have more on that once the game actually launches."Fascinating. They did say that the mystery of what Mega Evolution actually is would be revealed in Episode Delta. My guess is that Diancie (and Carbink by extension) is an alien, and that the huge pink rock in Kalos is a meteorite that landed, with its shards splitting off and being spread over the planet as mega stones (as well as Diancie being able to create Mega Stones as shown in the movie). The mega stones advance evolution in pokemon, without the mega stones the pokemon would eventually evolve into those forms anyway as time goes on. The crystal weapon used in X and Y was based off this meteorite and its powers, and it being fired into space in the past is what caused the evolution of Deoxys, which as said in pokedex entries is a space virus mutated by a beam into a living pokemon. So essentially Deoxys getting the concentrated blast of the machine turned it into a constant Mega pokemon. Rayquaza, being a pokemon that can exist in space was also near to the beam when it was fired, charging it with evolution energy that allows it to mega evolve without a stone. That's my idea anyway. Also perhaps the race or tribe that AZ and Zinnia belong to are long lived beings that are closer to pokemon than human and have been orchestrating stuff from behind the scenes for as long as the series has been going on. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Crowhogan33 - 2014-11-18 Bank v. 1.2 is now out, it adds the data and compatibility for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. Dunno if it added anything else. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Jamesie - 2014-11-18 My optimism is riding on Day 1 patches or time-locked events (since both are established as possible). Not to mention there's not a lot of consistency with the reviews. Some reviews say that there's no post-game and others say that the post-game is amazing. Of course it could always vary based on opinion, but at the same time I feel like there would not be that much variation given how established Pokemon is. Either way I'll be content with the game. I've never been a huge fan of the Battle Frontier or any of its permutations anyways. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Corn - 2014-11-18 Datamining has begun.

http://pastebin.com/vzZpybq1 Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Razmos - 2014-11-18 I really don't understand why they revealed everything before the games release. All the mega evolutions, all the post-game content.. It seems like the only thing in the games they haven't revealed is Hoopa's alternate form... but then they haven't even revealed Hoopa yet. I wish they had kept some mystery for the games release, but eh, it is just a remake. It's a bit worrying though since they revealed more than half of all the new pokemon and mega evolutions in X and Y. Can you imagine the bricks that would have been shat in the community when they finish the game and Episode Delta starts? then they go flying off into space and catch Deoxys and it would have been glorious and totally hype. Instead they reveal it all a week before release for some reason, it's bizarre. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced - Dredragon - 2014-11-18 Yea, that was half the fun. No one knew anything about the games, we had to figure it out ourselves, etc. I almost wish people didn't know how to data mine, just so some of the game could be hidden. I COULD just ignore the datamine, but I'm thirsting for the game enough as it is, and I can't help it. ; - ; |
