MapleStory 2, welcome. - Hanabira.Kage - 2014-05-23 It totally reminds me of Spiral Knights.
That laser attack was sick though. MapleStory 2, welcome. - ShinkuDragon - 2014-05-23 it... it just hit me. in maplestory 1, the biggest ggame changer is cubes, you cube your gear, you recube your lines, you cube even more lines, cube everything everywhere. MS2 went above and beyond, you don't just use cubes anymore, they're not part of the system, the world IS cubes. MapleStory 2, welcome. - byakugan - 2014-05-23 I was really looking forward to this game, but definitely not anymore. WHY IS EVERYTHING MADE OF pineappleING SQUARES, EVEN THE WATER?. Everything looks so small and unrealistic... (yeah I know, its not like th original MS was realistic but this one is far worse). The game died for me when I saw the squared waterfall and the houses and trees of the size of your own character. It's like Nexon wanted a piece of Minecraft's audience, but to avoid it being a complete blind shoot they smashed the name Maplestory on it to gather some of the later's fans interest. I guess I will die waiting for another company to develop an awesome 2D MMORPG or at least a 3D one that looks like Pokemon X/Y OR Mario 3D world do. For god's sake Nexon... ShinkuDragon Wrote:it... it just hit me. This is so pineappleing sick, yet it makes so much sense... MapleStory 2, welcome. - Combattente - 2014-05-23 The block-y look definitely feels strange, and why are places floating in the air? Well, actually that's a stupid question since many places do in MapleStory as well. I forgot it's MapleStory physics. Nevertheless, it looks like a really good game. I'll definitely try it out! I hope the wait is worth it. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Wiz - 2014-05-23 I think it looks good; definitely wasn't what I was expecting. My main concerns are: 1) Keyboard Control (no point and click please) 2) Dungeon Grindfest - I hate having to go from each instanced dungeon to the next. I like being able to explore the world and train in random maps I come across and then move onto the next as my character's level get's higher. It's okay for bosses and such, but I don't want that to be the core of the game (like DragonsNest). MapleStory 2, welcome. - PoetryIsFail - 2014-05-23 I really hope they go with massive maps, love the blocky look ^^ MapleStory 2, welcome. - Speiro - 2014-05-23 I shouldn't be surprised by all the floating platforms, but somehow I am. I guess it just feels weird in a 3D world. I'm curious what happens if you fall off the edge of a map, since they all seemed to be floating islands with nothing below. Instant death? The destructible environment was unexpected, too. How far do you think they'll go with that? Minecraft-style mining and building, maybe? And that one character fighting with the telephone pole... I wonder if that's a class-specific thing, or if everyone will be able to throw stuff around like that. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Mazz - 2014-05-23 I really like it! Very cute and charming, the block water looks a bit weird but overall it has a rather nice aesthetic. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Alloy - 2014-05-23 You know what's weird? It's a nice translation from 2D into 3D. Just like the original game was quite inspired by games like Mario Bros, the sequel seems quite inspired in Mario 64. And let's not forget that making blocks out of it makes updates way easier to develope. I actually wasn't expecting this. But considering how they are selling out on fan service with the art I have a bad feeling about it... MapleStory 2, welcome. - Mazz - 2014-05-23 I just noticed the throwing stars. They look bigger than the actual characters :f6:
MapleStory 2, welcome. - Wiz - 2014-05-23 Ooo! I love throwing stars! I hope they work like the old school hermits haha; maybe that's an avenger skill or something? Also Ilbi? ![]() Kinda looks like it works like a boomerang. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Vontos - 2014-05-23 I like it, the mini games looks fun, combat looks interesting, I just hope it isn't point and click(doesn't seem like it). I love the art style and dances the characters perform(the characters seem really expressive!) I can't wait for part 2(?) of the trailer. also....

MapleStory 2, welcome. - Polantaris - 2014-05-23 Link Wrote:It looks interesting. It's definitely not what I was expecting, but it looks like something I might enjoy playing. Does it give you an EverPlanet feel too? (You're the only other person I know that's played it.) It kinda gives me a vibe of a combination of EverPlanet and Dungeon Striker. I'll definitely check it out. It looks like it will be worth a try at the very least. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Thorr - 2014-05-23 My only complaint is that it appears that the walking speed is SLOW. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Felicitates - 2014-05-23 Oh well that looks adorable. Art style is very much cubeworld/minecraft/everyindie3dgameever but I suppose I can't fault them for that. It translates very well from a 2d side scroller. The mini games I hope are going to be something permanant. They look a lot like the Mario Party mini games and RNGesus help me I spend all day at those. Still there remains a lot of questions in my mind. Come on Nexon. explain pls. moar PR pls. transparency pls. (players like transparency!) pls. MapleStory 2, welcome. - chrome - 2014-05-23 Wow. Allow me to go on a brief feels trip as I frequently do. When I still played, I remembered discussing with my friends what MS would be like if it was 3D. "They'd have to make HHG circular, combat would be weird," etc. But the devs have managed to take the unique platforming and combat essence of MS1 and transfer it into MS2 while making it 3D and probably better. I was pretty excited when I was able to tell that MS2 was a platformer MMORPG within the first 10 seconds of the video. on board for KMS2 beta i've been working on my korean anyway 배타 키 주세요??? MapleStory 2, welcome. - Tukkun - 2014-05-23 Personally I think this kind of "3D" is wayyyyyyyyyy better than the other 3D games. Will definitely play. Also the entire game looks like a massively huge map to me. |
