MapleStory 2, welcome. - Lozmaster - 2014-03-07 Kooz Wrote:It's actually ran by Wizet, and they have majority ownership unlike now in maplestory where Nexon has pretty much full power to do whatever they want .. Wizet is a really good and respectable company and they still do some stuff dealing with maplestory, but they know what their doing and how to start a game up the right way You should really read the wizet wikipedia page. Focus on who the parent company (i.e., the ones who own wizet) is. We'll wait. MapleStory 2, welcome. - iVege - 2014-03-08 SaptaZapta Wrote:Maybe it's a culture thing. I don't think I've ever seen a girl over 4 stand that way (and I have a teenaged daughter). Oh... I was going to reply to your original post but I gave you the benefit of the doubt and thought you were just complaining about unnecessary effort given to gender differences, because certain stances shouldn't be attributed to certain genders (and this applies to both female and male). I don't think there's much too complain about sexualisation though. Maybe I haven't seen enough, but I don't see it there. MapleStory 2, welcome. - SaptaZapta - 2014-03-08 iVege Wrote:Oh... Imagine if the girl (or the boy, for that matter) appeared in-game sucking their thumb or dragging around a blankie. Would that make sense for a "young adventurer"? No? Then why does a little-girl-being-cute stance make sense in that context? Whether that is a "little-girl-being-cute" stance or something else (e.g. a "feminine" stance—not that I'm saying such a stance would be justified) seems a little subjective. MapleStory 2, welcome. - YennoX - 2014-03-08 Oh no, the female character is showing her thighs, that's sexist. Oh no, she has stereotypical young girl pigtails, that's sexist. Oh no, she's wearing pink, that's sexist. Oh no, the feminazis won't be playing this game because of it, that's perfectly fine with me. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Coveral - 2014-03-11
MapleStory 2, welcome. - Hanabira.Kage - 2014-03-11 Best part about that image is the crazy gatling gun-toting whatever job that is.
They'd better make that job a reality. MapleStory 2, welcome. - HighOnMushrooms - 2014-03-11 From left to right: Berserker, Knight, Wizard, Priest, Ranger, Gunslinger, Chief (Bandit), Assassin. So...why's the Berserker wielding a sword? A two-handed sword, at that. With one hand.
They simply MUST give the Gunslinger class that gatling gun. I'll be all over it. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Kirov - 2014-03-11 I wonder how long they will wait till they add pirates. The Knight's sword looks like a dagger because of the style, too, but I doubt a Knight would use a dagger.

What's next, you'll call them hitler for not liking how the girl was portrayed? Over simplified with heavy exaggeration towards someone, what is this, middle school? lmao MapleStory 2, welcome. - byakugan - 2014-03-11 HighOnMushrooms Wrote:From left to right: Berserker, Knight, Wizard, Priest, Ranger, Gunslinger, Chief (Bandit), Assassin. This is what I am talking about when I was saying I didn't like much the idea of this being a prequel of the current MS. There's just no sense in a class like gunslinger to exist when guns didn't even exist during the first war against the black mage (I base that on that there was no shooter jobs other than archers), leave alone the fact this gunslinger job might use machine guns which are beyond MS's current gun technology. This is a true issue to this game, not the way female characters stand . Just tell me this is a different timeline, they could even make crossover events if this was it.
MapleStory 2, welcome. - SaptaZapta - 2014-03-11 Or, you know, this might be technology that was forgotten in the aftermath of the war against the Black Mage. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Arrol - 2014-03-11 Haven't even seen any gameplay yet and already we're having issues with continuity. SaptaZapta Wrote:Or, you know, this might be technology that was forgotten in the aftermath of the war against the Black Mage. Or maybe the Black Mage's companions had betas and were holding out on us. That also implies there was a lack of technology for.. knuckles as well? How I interpret it is that this technology already existed, but there was no current hero(s) that had mastered said weapon. MapleStory 2, welcome. - Grey - 2014-03-11 You guys are all worked up about this, and I'm just sitting here thinking that the Thief looks like a dinosaur. Also, the jobs line up to the different job branches in WonderKing, interestingly, in terms of weapons, at the very least (Nexon acquired the people behind that, didn't they?) Swordsman -> Warrior (Berserker) or Knight Mage -> Wizard or Priest Scout -> Archer (Ranger) or Gunner (Gunslinger) Thief -> Rogue (Thief) or Ninja (Assassin) |
