If they wanted us to wait until e3 for us to see the game, they should have announced it at e3.

I'm a bit fed up of nintendo announcing games too early (Where the hell is shin megami tensei x fire emblem?)

Hopefully it's not the only big game this christmas because I'm more into pokemon for the catch em all aspect, and no new pokemon (mega evos don't count!) puts a bit of a damper on the amount I care about the remakes.

The thing I'm most interested in is if they do include a coupon for a months worth of pokemon bank with the games, or something, otherwise I'm ready to declare that intergen trading is officially behind a paywall for any games to come, which would suck.

One of my biggest hopes for this game is new pokemon.
I was under the impression that X and Y had so few pokemon because they were going to add more in the next game, along with the region they were hinting at.

Them saying something along the lines of a "new land/world" kinda suggests the game is either going to go beyond Hoenn, or not be set there at all.
Can you imagine how cool it would be if you complete the game, and then get given a ticket to go to a tropical region which has a few new pokemon? would be awesome.

Actually, now that I think about it, streetpass secret bases might be enough for me to jump in again if they let you battle the people you pass.

However, given X/Ys streetpass options may well have been the absolute worst use of them on the system, I'm not getting my hopes up yet.

'Bout fucking time.

I'll still buy it--mainly cause I just love playing Pokemon games and having a refreshing new one to play every so often--but I will admit that Ruby/Sapphire are my least favourite Generation. I hate 3rd. Hopefully they'll remedy some of the issues I had with the original games that made me so jaded.

Holy crap, it's happening. 3DS Hoenn remakes. It was my FAVORITE reigon, for many reasons already stated in posts above. I can only imagine rolling around Hoenn in glorious 3D.

Nope, not happening.
They couldn't possibly make another significantly new pokemon game in the year since X/Y.

Heck, B2/W2 took a 1.5years from the launch of B/W and those were probably the most phoned in pokemon games in a long time.

Obviously I wouldn't mind being wrong on this, but it's extremely unlikely.

Same here! I skipped Gen 3 and 4 (and 5 but that one was due to lack of money while the other two were due to lack of interest) so I'm very glad to see this happening! No idea what version I'd go with, though.
