I had high hopes and then found that yello gets only 1-3 battles battles a day it seems, and I get lucky if those happen when I'm playing. It's basically impossible to get anything of worth so I've decided to better allocate my time on maple.

Can't recieve medal however, you can check which side you're on by trying to donate cake/pies.

Cake vs. Pie is glitched today, can't receive medal or get the status board.
I'm participating in the event, I like the chair.
Main issues with the event:
1. Need to donate to a specific town, lots of travelling. (Sometimes I just don't bother donating and get the default number of insignias by just participating)
2. It's impossible to defend in a high-level battle. If the attacking team just hits the barricade, there's absolutely nothing the defending team can do to prevent them from losing. I like the old system of healing when you're on defense.
I like how everything is instanced though, I wasn't able to get into a single battle last year because I would always lag out due to the sheer number of people on the map attacking.

Yeah, the traveling is annoying. I think they should have just made it into one global donation, and whoever wins gets all the perks in all of the maple world for 1 hour. This would include all the new training areas, giving more incentive for people to donate. I don't know in other worlds, but in Khaini, only once has a town other than Henesys gone into battle since the event began, and Henesys itself doesn't have that many battles each day, maybe 3 or 4 tops. The resetting of the bars at midnight doesn't help either.
The battling system is quite terrible in my opinion. The people should be divided in teams until the assigning minute is over, so everyone's level and team can be taken into account. The current system makes it so that some maps are super crowded, while others have only one person in them, or 2 attackers and no defenders, etc. Even though with this system it's almost certain attacking side will win, I've seen defense side win several times because of multiple maps left with no attackers. That, and as you said, the old healing system would probably work much better.
And battle maps should start from ch19 going down or something. Ch1, Nexon? Seriously?

the real problem is the fact that the attacking team uses their DAMAGE RANGE and the defending team uses SET NUMBERS. OBVIOUSLY the attacking team is going to win unless they're a bunch of noobs that don;t know what to do. Seriously. All the attacking team has to do is attack the barrier and they win no questions asked. There isn't a possible way to win as the defending team. You basically go just to lose. Which is extremely stupid.

You still have to linger near Henesys to donate, lest you want to travel over and over and over again from your training grounds to the town. It still seems awfully inconvinient.
Also, I completely agree with the global donation you talk about, that would certainly eliminate some of my issues with the event.

Today I actually protected successfully. The attackers were like level 100s and 90s, and there was me, a shadower, and a few other people mass killing the cakes.

So much for getting the chair and spending the rest on White Scrolls.

Seriously though, extractions say time-limited and I wouldn't put it pass Nexon that they would time limit the shoulderpads.

Definitely not! There is no way i'm wasting 400 insigs for that crap if it expires. Hope it doesn't expire though. I'm already up to...*checks* 72. Gotten like 50 today and was barely trying, and missed one that I would've gotten 10 from but thought it was a dif city that i'd have gotten 1 from, and was busy. Blah.
