Aaron, get the crit ring. It is far better in the long run and you'll regret not having gotten it later. If you didn't care for DPS you wouldn't be using skis (per my persuading you to do so
). Make the smarter choice and get the crit ring.

*Shrug* I use the same numbers everyone else does. And me being the DPS freak that I am will take a higher chance at critical over a measly one attack any day. Either way, that's the end of that little debacle.

I just always learned that the best thing to do is trust your judgement as the final verdict. When it comes to advice I follow it robotically: your calculations > high level warrior friends' calculations> my calculations > random people I don't knows' calculations
So the end verdict is that I'm getting the crit ring.

High level warrior friends being who exactly as the second standard? Anyone short of Coen, Jasper, or Fran, I wouldn't take their advice. Also I feel I should note that both Dusk, Stereo, and Noah are far better mathmeticians than myself (seeing as they contribute the most to the DPS tables. Dusk specifically).

Justin had me rep his hero (eDating) at oblivion 4 a few nights ago and I noticed was doing crits so I checked his equips and he had the cruel ring. I asked him which is better and he said most heroes and drks he knows got the cruel ring. So I jumbled around with calculations rounding my range to 9000~20000 and 8950~19900 and ignoring the 3 str and dex from the lilin since it doesn't come close to equaling 1 att.

I'd say that is fairly wrong.
Like just for example.
My range, 3 atk ring: 2970-7479
/ adding cruel ring's critical rate makes this equivalent to 2975-7492, because crits suck for Paladins
My range, 3 atk 3 str 3 dex ring: 2985-7512
My range, 4 atk ring: 2986-7520
So the difference between 3 str 3 dex, and 1 atk, is 15-33 vs. 16-41 added damage (cruel ring adding 5-13). Or more directly, the Lilin's ring is equivalent to 3.8 atk.
Tack on MW and the gap is a little larger
3338-8426 -> 3353-8458 vs. 3355-8471 (15-32 vs. 17-45) but it's still worth more than 3.7 atk.
