Combo Smash isn't spammable to the degree Dual Blades can spam their crazy strong attacks. gMS will be a pomegranatestorm when this class arrives. x.X

Keep in mind that this isn't a legendary class. O_O

Dual Blade - Cynic - 2010-03-10

Not to mention when they get their Ulti + Venom combo, they are equivalent to Mages/Bishops.

Screw whatever crap they spin to name their new classes; this is still a "legendary" class. Honestly, regardless of what they call it any class released from Arans on is ridiculously broken as compared to earlier classes. In that notion I call them all "legendaries."

So by your standards if they released an "evil" class (read: worship the black mage), they would be legends?

Even though legends are only one person and fight against the black mage, which is exactly what dual blade is not?

Let me rephrase. My use of the term "legendaries" is the same use of the term when referring to one-of-a-kind, powerful Pokemon caught towards the end of their respective versions (such as Lugia and Ho-oh). I suppose another term that would be more fitting for this case would be "ubers."

I understand what you mean, but power wise it literally makes no sense to group them with legends.

Evan is not really "broken." Actually, it kinda sucks. From what I've read/see/played it is just another arch mage that substitutes a magic resistance skill (that is useable half the time) for a decent ultimate and a few other stuff. Plus, it is boring.

Haha, yeah, I was actually going to put "except Evan" when I named all classes succeeding Arans, but whatevs. Mages suck all around thanks to our lovely damage formula.

Really? IllegallySane even responded to me earlier comment by remarking on the spammability of Dual Blade attacks as compared to Arans. If they're outkilling legends, then why does it make no sense to group them together?

Dual Blade - Cancambo - 2010-03-10

Also, remember, Dual Blades are only available for creation for a short period of time. It isn't gonna be like everyone and their mother has them (well, at least over time).

Lol, they out kill and out DPS all melee classes and some ranged classes. Their single target DPS with final cut and chains of hell apparently rival corsairs according to my calculations.

If they're out killing adventurers, then why does it make no sense to group them together?

I think we got our lines crossed - I agree with you. Arans and Dual Blades should be grouped together as ridiculously overpowered classes. All I did was apply the term "legendaries" to them, which was a poor choice of words considering some classes are grouped as "Legends" in MapleStory, and thus I rephrased with the term "ubers." Regardless, the classes are broken.

Agree with everything except arans being considered ridiculously overpowered.

The response for arans wasn't spectacular or anything. Most people can't really control them very well. I think they only way arans could be overpowered is if purple surfboards are massively infused into the market. Until then, they're just a decent melee class with more support than the average melee class.

I really hope thats just according to your calculations Eek

I would gladly invite people to run the math.

Their DPS would inevitably fall below corsairs though. If they had final cut all the time they would beat corsairs i'm sure of it.
