If female characters stand like that in-game...

Anyway, doesn't look like 45 degree view to me so I'm reserving judgement on in-game-ness.

Don't you think you're going to far as to (possibly) critizice the way she stands? Save them for when we find out her skirt can be flipped up showing her panties.

If this is indeed an in-game image, and they actually went to the trouble of making the female characters' "at rest" stance different from males in this way, this game is not something I would want to play.
I don't need it to go as far as skirt-flipping to make that call.

Those mushrooms....remind me of the mushroom blocks in super mario bros. 2. Stunned

If it is an in game shot it looks pretty neat and the building in the background reminds me of Animal Crossing a bit.

Um really? you might be the only one who wouldnt play the game or atleast try it out just based on the girl character standing like a hoe.. Tbh you seem like you dont even want to play period , Maplestory 2 is for people who are over the original maple !

I wouldn't say she's standing like a hoe... Just obviously slightly more feminine than the male.

Definitely not something I look at or pay attention to, but to each their own. Tongue

The little details like that is what makes a game good to me imo.

By that I mean every little detail, not just things related to making girls seem more girly.

I completely agree. However, I've come so accustomed to girls being feminine in video games that I don't really notice when they are, but it's more obvious to me when they aren't.

It is kind of annoying that female characters aren't treated like characters but rather sex objects. I think you should respect that some people have something called "deal breakers". For example, this game isn't worth trying because it's ran by the same f`ucking company that has as much reliability as a hunting dog missing its head.

It's actually ran by Wizet, and they have majority ownership unlike now in maplestory where Nexon has pretty much full power to do whatever they want .. Wizet is a really good and respectable company and they still do some stuff dealing with maplestory, but they know what their doing and how to start a game up the right way

As for the female characters & all that , there is no way to tell if that is a gameplay screen shot or not, and yeah all the girl chars have high skirts, have slutty nx clothes and what not , but seriously its not that big of a deal people will pick @ anything I swear

Bwahahahhahaha, where did you even read this

Better question;

Who's the CEO of wizet?

No one said anything about gameplay. An individual said she didn't like what was presented and discourages her from playing, that's it lmao

Yea, I'm gonna have to vouch on you on this. Most of the MMOs I've been playing so far always have to have their females act feminine in a way instead of a character, even those that is meant to act the solid type.

That leg 'pose' isn't even a 'sexy' pose. It's really just something that young girls do when they fidget. My step-kids (all 3 daughters) did that from age 4 to about 15-16. My son's female friends do it occasionally, too (ages 12-14). Seeing a girl with 1 knee turned in is not an indicator of anything sexual. It's just an indicator that the girl is young. It's a common nervous habit among young girls (also seen typically in short women because, as any man knows, short women tend to act like little girls to be cute).

Maybe it's a culture thing. I don't think I've ever seen a girl over 4 stand that way (and I have a teenaged daughter).
Either way, I find that displaying female chars as "fidgeting" and/or "acting like little girls to be cute" is demeaning.
Again, if this is an in-game image and they routinely stand like that instead of the foursquare stance of the male. If it's just promo art like the rest of the stuff in this thread, then whatever.

I understand seeing adult females in this pose to be possibly demeaning because it's a deliberate act. But, if it's done in a context where the girl is about 10, I just don't see it that way. Hell, the girls in Pokemon do it and they are all about 12. If they were 18-20, then I would see it as being an overtly sexual thing and totally agree with you.
