Well, I work with a friend of mine on occasion with me as the host. But a dedicated server it is not. Most likely the best case scenario would be 3PM Pacific to 1AM Pacific. Did they ever change it back to where the server and client aren't merged so that the host can log off? I'd rather not repeatedly die while afk if I try to host, even if just for my friend, if I can help it.

They might have, but I'm not 100% sure. Was watching an LoL stream a couple weeks ago where the host wasn't online in-game and they were able to play just fine.

Been playing a bit, and I have this much to say about lighting:

-My mushroom sewer-esk tunnel looks awesome now.
-Everything is much darker now.
-White lights, including streetlamps are superior lighting sources to other colors in terms of visibility.
-When using trippy lighting, DO NOT use water candles en mass underwater. It lags like crazy.
-In trippy, shinny metals are more shinny.

Currently looking for for my gremlin dealer so that I can fuse some stuff before starting up fresh on a new character/server somewhere.

Got a great idea for a server game, Corruption vs Hallow. The job of each team its to spread it their choice as much as possible, even invading the other team territory, of course hallow people can only build in hallow while corruption can only build in corruption (Although Small camps should be allowed)

Seems fun, but the Holy / Corrupted Water would ruin it greatly.

EDIT: Freaking corruption took over my Hell / Underworld and most of my Hellevator!
At least I can mine Adamantite Ore now.

Had a blast last night and probably readdicted again. Me and a friend started out on new characters went deep into a cave system nearby,(I got to hell in iron armor lolol) and built up a nice little town/fortress. Pics will be up soon.

I'm seriously liking this new lighting. THE COLORS.

We'll probably be at it again tonight but we've decided to pull in our mains now and get some serious work done.

Wall of flesh its not for the weak of heart! Took my 2 tries to kill him, some protips for people trying:

-Get yourself a ranged weapon and a pineappleton of METEORITE bullets (I like these because you can hit 2 targets with one bullet)
-Get yourself some decent armor, the lazors dont hit that hard but if you get too close to those bitting things Ouch 40+ damage if they touch you (Also if you reduce their health too much they detach from the wall)
-Recomended its to craft a lava immunity, Ironskin and Health Regen potion.
-Clear the Path before the fight so you wont get stuck mid fight and curse like a maniac.
-Get some speed items/potions so the wall stay well out of range.
-And most importantly be sure to have decent movement items (Red balloon, Cloud in a bottle and maybe rocket boots) it will make escaping a pineappleton easier.

Edit: Fml the shotgun its not as awesome as i thought it was gonna be.

Finding Mithril and Adamantium so bullpomegranate, while exploring found some adamantium but could not mine it since i dont have the mithril Drill Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Also Spelunker Potion + High Resolution its your best friend for this pomegranate, makes it easier to find those minerals.

Wall of Flesh is a joke if you use a ranged weapon, such as the Phoenix Blaster, and a Gravitation potion. You don't even need anything else.

I'm close to making the Demon Wings and Fairy Bell for my guy. Just need to farm a bit more "Soul of Night".

Also as FenixR said, Spelunker makes finding the new ores helluva lot easier...once you figure out the pattern / color glow of the new ores.

Molten Armor is still better until I can get access to the Adamantium armor and Hallowed Armor. The Cobalt and Mithril armor sucks for melee.

Were do you get the soul of might? Fighting bosses? thats the only thing i havent done so. Also im like 10 short on both soul of night and day to get my set of wings >.>. And also got enough Adamantium to make the Forge >.> not enough for the drill sadly. (Also found some cobalt but i made everything already and some mithril but it wasnt enough for much.)

Havent seen the underground jungle nor any floating island did they remove those?

And one last thing, get yerself some good movement items, some obsidian skin/Spelunker Potions then dig a hole to hell and start poking around in the upper part of hell for a little easy to find Minerals (since you can easily see some caverns connecting from hell)
