Razmos Wrote:As far as I can tell, there are no national dex pokemon available in the game itself, other than the Friend Safari. If Feebas WAS available, it would have to be in the Kalos dex, which it isn't.

Ughhhh, great. I am so desperate for Miltotic it ain't even funny.
Why would they include Prism Scale in the game then? Kind of a douchey thing to do if we can't even get Feebas.

Because eventually people will import in milotics and they need a way to evolve them.
And they might want to give out milotic or feebas at an event eventually.
It's most likely just there for when milotic is finally available due to pokébank.

Regardless if SP wants i can breed them plenty of feebas when pokébank opens. I bred a trillion feebas for a great milotic back in B2W2.

Anyone figured out a way into those 3 Power Plant Doors on route 13? There's 3 doors that remain locked...Period. Even after getting the key card...

For now it seems like one of these "rare" pokemon is the opposite version's Basculin. Guess not.

Apparently chain fishing increases the chance of catching a shiny pokemon.

I can confirm this. Just caught a shiny Horsea with this method.

First chain got to about 20 before breaking, second about 10, on my third I caught the Horsea on my 5th or 6th use.

EDIT: just got a shiny Clauncher too.

Yummy yummy shinies. Still rare, but not stupid rare, and easier to obtain through methods if patient. Y dis game so gud

Found my second shiny earlier, a shiny snover. The first being a shiny electrode

I made a list of pokemon available through Fishing, so you guys can get some sweet, sweet shinies.

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - TheTempest - 2013-10-21

Just realized something when fighting Yveltal. If you make it faint, you don't gain any Exp. and it stays there saying "it wants to help you" giving you another attempt to catch it again. Not sure if you can soft reset for a different nature if you save it after making it faint.

EDIT: I made it faint multiple times just to see what happens and apparently you can't continue until you catch it. Biggrin

EDIT2: Just tried using the same move multiple times when Yveltal is at full HP (making it faint after each attempt) and it's HP goes down about the same with a margin of less than 1mm after each try. Guessing the nature is set after the 1st faint and only the IVs change. Will try some more attempts just so I can save before fighting him and not have to soft reset to before the cutscene.

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - Kubi - 2013-10-21

If that's the case, that's probably why they made it so easy to catch since it's a requirement. At least for me, I just paralyzed it and caught it at 100% health with a regular Pokeball. I did a lot of soft resets until I finally got one with modest and 31 IV into Sp Att.

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - TheTempest - 2013-10-21

Yea pretty sure nature gets locked in once you make it faint and then save it. Oh well, just have to go through the cutscene until I get an Yveltal with Modest/Timid and 31IVs in SPA and SPE.

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - Worthyness - 2013-10-21

To catch Xerneas i just reset multiple times and guessed the nature based on which stats went up the most. For example, a neutral nature, but 31 IV in the attack stats would yield something like 151/152, so anything higher than that meant that it had a beneficial nature in that stat. Did the same with speed and such too. Ended up with a speed, sp attack, attack perfect xerneas with a naive nature, so it's not terrible. Got multiple attack centered natures, which pissed me off because both legendaries are heavily special oriented (esp Xerneas and geomancy).

how do you find out its IVs?

Pokémon X and Y Playthrough Discussion - TheTempest - 2013-10-21

RedRaven16; I used this IV calc: http://www.metalkid.info/Pokemon/Calculators/IV.aspx

Worthyness; Yea, I did the same. Timid with 151 SPA and 130 SPE or Modest with 166 SPA and 119 SPE. Just got the Modest one right now with 31 IVs in SPA, SPE, ATT and either 28 or 29 in HP. I kept it in the party for the battle and forgot to turn off my EXP. Share, so I let it die by spamming disable. Biggrin

Finally got my first Shiny! =D

It's a Magikarp of all things xP I was breeding some to get a Gyarados with a decent nature. I was kind of hoping for one with +Attack/-SpAtk but I'll settle with a Neutral Nature instead xP

=o I haven't seen a Shiny Mega Gyarados, wonder if it's red or not~

For anyone wondering, chain fishing is when you repeatedly fish in one spot without moving and without failing to encounter. You can run away, but getting the "Not even a nibble..." breaks the chain. The easiest way to guarantee encounters is to have a Pokemon with the Suction Cups ability in lead (Octillery, Inkay, etc.).

Don't forget Lileep/Cradilly.
