Heroes do not have to worry about range because Brandish has a set animation range. Because range isn't that big a deal. To most normal players anyway. Then again, all the normal players aren't paladins, so they go with 2h. [Little research] 1h sword paladins - KatanaKiwi - 2009-01-05 for heroes the lunch box' short range only is noticable when you use finishers like panic and coma since brandish has, like said before, a set reach. basically using a lunch box versus a sparta/caravella means : lunch box: higher attack and faster speed, more dps, shorter reach with finishers. sparta/caravella: (lower attack), slower attacking speed, eassier to land a finisher due longer reach. however if you use a lunchbox for a few hours you will soon enough get used to the short reach and still land your finishers. for paladins this is a much bigger issue though, because they dont have a set range attack like heroes. its very hard to not miss your attack every few attacks, even with practise. so most paladins dont use a lunchbox. (that means, the Crystal Blade has a shorter reach. Same reach as a Red Katana) O.o Quite weird though. [Little research] 1h sword paladins - Nikkey - 2009-01-05 KatanaKiwi Wrote:when using the sword ingame you can clearly notice it having a longer range :S weird stuff People always stated that the OS had a faster attack-speed compared to FF. You know why? Because it was bigger and people THOUGHT it moved faster due to that. Not because it actually attacked faster; their speed is equal. Yet people claim that OS is faster. Same idea here. I'd assume it's just an illusion. :X the weapon itself isn't scripted. It's just an object/hashtable containing variables and pictures. The variable afterImage states that it is OS. The weapon itself is swordS:

[Little research] 1h sword paladins - USMC - 2009-07-18 Sorry for reviving an old and dead thread, I'm not sure if this is better than making a new thread o.O But anyways here it goes, is it still easy to obtain the items needed to forge the black crystal blade, specifically I'm talking about the crystal blade, I almost know nothing about ITCG..is it still avaiable? I have not seen any in FM. Also how much does the black/crystal blade usually cost nowadays? And when you forge it, the stats are random or set? Thanks/ [Little research] 1h sword paladins - Mark - 2009-07-18 Zakum Diamonds don't drop anymore, so upgrading a Crystal Blade can't be done. Stats are set though, and can usually cost around 100mil for an upgraded one (in Scania.) [Little research] 1h sword paladins - USMC - 2009-07-18 Ah that sucks >.< the 50 accuracy is really sexy lol [Little research] 1h sword paladins - Rhynot - 2009-07-18 Well, if you're in Mardia, I could upgrade 2 of them if you really want one. I have 2 diamonds on my chars from a while ago. :f6: [Little research] 1h sword paladins - USMC - 2009-07-18 But I'm in Windia, thanks tho
