ok so currently there is a balance between 1h and 2h sword heroes, both have pro's and con's but everybody decides for theirselves what they like best.. Sword Paladins however are kind of screwed, they cant use 1h swords that well because they have a shorter reach then 2h swords, for that reason they mostly stick to 2h swords.. few exceptions left out. the richer paladins mainly go for stonetooth, other paladins use normal speed 2h swords..
thats kind of how it used to be with paladin's and the weapons they wield.. but i think they have an opportunety to change that all.. why?
for those who dont have a guess what im talking about, itcg5 brought a new sword into maple global. its the crystal blade.. and im not talking about the lvl 50 one, there is a lvl 100 one available too, which you can only get by upgrading a lvl 50 one with a zakum diamond.
Black Crystal Blade
fast (5)
lvl 100
99atk
3str
50accuracy
7slots
now with above given stats it looks like a pretty decent sword... fast5 is good and 99atk is a reasonable attack compared to a 98atk average sparta, and a 103attack dragons caravela..
the 50 accuracy is very very usefull and basically means you dont have any worries about accuracy anymore which will save you a lot in your wallet
BUT the best is yet to come, this sword has a very long range, the longest range of all 1h swords by far! and it can compete with the longer reaching 2h swords aswell!! facts? here:

this completely wipes out the argument of not going 1h because of missing monsters due short reach of your sword! if you use a dragon's claymore this sword will even INCREASE your reach!
now to come back to the first situation i sketched about 1h/2h paladin balance: the path to becomming a 1h paladin without the big barricade of missing a lot of your attacks due lack of reach is now opened! this is especially good news for the not so rich paladins who cant afford a stonetooth, with a 10 attack shield (not so expensive) and a decently scrolled black crystal blade you can easilly compete with the other swords.
how to forge:
to forge a black crystal blade you need:
1 crystal blade
1 zakum diamond
50 black crystals
1 one-handed sword forging manual
1 one-handed sword forging stimulator
Go to the npc Adonis in el nath and choose the option "Liberation Ritual".
be carefull, there is a risk of failing the forging, resulting in losing all your forging items.

the costs of forging a dark crystal blade are not very high, you can buy crystal blades for 10m mesos allready, and the rest of the items are easy obtainable via quests.
oh and i also heard that it is possible to renew your dark crystal blade if you fail in scrolling it, whiping off all scrolls and starting with 7slots again.
i do not know if there is a risk of losing your sword by doing this, for i have not yet confirmed if this is even possible. if it is possible it means it will be even eassier to scroll a good blade.
and to end this topic, i would like to hear from other paladins what you think about this new sword, i think it is an opportunenty for both the poorer and the richer paladins. an thusfar mostly unused opportunety ; i have not yet heard about any paladin using this sword.

but does that mean crystal blade doesnt have a longer range then for instance a sparta? it sure does feel like its longer, and then i dont just mean the immages..
