With the new Acension Skill Updates - FrozNlite - 2011-09-29
Okay, these updates are awesome. I logged on for the first time in 6+ months to mess around, and damn. Love Arcane Aimm when it kicks in and gives a nice extra boost. So happy to see a three-hit Paralyze now. Started crying when I saw we can now jump cast Big Bang. But of all the new/potentially new changes that's pretty awesome is Mist Eruption. I know this whole post has been mere gushing about new skills/changes, but wow. It's refreshing after so long to see the fundamentals changed. Mist Eruption is just sweet because of it building upon Poison Mist from 3rd job. No longer is the skill obsolete, but usable to string hundreds of thousands of damage together. Wowoow.
tl;dr: FrozNlite is awed by skill changes.

I've yet to really play my F/P after big bang. I imagine it will be quite a nice change when I do. Jump really seemed like an awesome patch for F/Ps.

I would max CL. Actually debating on what to do with Glacial Chain right now, I have 38 SP for either Summon/MW 20/Glacial, if throw 19 on MW I can throw 19 on another, but I'm not sure if Glacial is worth it.
Where do 156 I/Ls train now, and which is more useful, I don't boss so Infinity is kind of useless right now, even with the 50% stance, I think.
Right now I have Arcane Aim and CL maxed with a point in BB, Glacial, Blizzard, 0 in Infinity and 0 in Elquines.

2 questions
1 - I am thinking maybe maxing all but MP eater in 2nd job could be a good choice. 20% chance to absorb 10% MP doesn't sound that great to me. What you think?
2 - is it really important to max Glacial chain over Elquines and Infinity? at lvl 1 it does 334% dmg on 12 mobs and 5 seconds cooldown. The only variable that really changes from lvl 1 to 30 is defense ignore, but is that really worth getting over 40% element resistance from elquines or the whole lot of stuff that Infinity gives?.

1 - permanent pot saver > attack you never use, especially since its a single target thing that only freezes. if you couldnt freeze with any other skills, it *might* be worth maxing.

Max GC is almost like having old Blizzard. It's the strongest spell you have and you get to use it every 5 seconds. (old blizz was 4 seconds, but whatev...) GC hits 4 times for 450% each. That's 200% more than the current max BLizz. It has a pretty good reach too. Add the freeze, the mob pull, and the DEF Ignore and it's a pretty sweet skill.

Level 30 Glacier Chain is 450% damage x4 ignoring 40% defense every 5-8 seconds depending on lag.
I would put it on a higher priority than infinity due to its 2 minute cooldown/able to be dispelled.
