Would you survive without NX? - SaptaZapta - 2010-12-29 I probably could. "Probably" because I am not able to merch by spamming FM entrance, so without a shop I am limited to what meso I loot or can get by npc'ing dropped items. Not sure whether post-BB drop rates vs. potion consumption rates would let me do this, but I assume it's possible, especially since 120 takes so little time now and doesn't really require anything special by way of gear. (And by special I don't mean just the high end, I mean anything that costs millions of meso). However, that is not the question, at least not for me. The question is "would you enjoy it?" This is a game. If it's not fun, I don't want to play. I have very bad loot and pot lag, possibly due to living halfway around the world from Nexon. Not having a pet to loot for me is physically painful, as well as considerably slower training. Depending on class, not having a pet to pot for me means a lot more deaths = much slower training. Call me spoiled, but I don't enjoy that. Now, if I had to raise a secondary char to 120, like say a Cygnus for UA, or an SE mule, and it had funding from my main, I just wouldn't bother looting. I would not get it a pet. Mules aren't worth it. I've done this before, not to 120 but I've raised numerous mules to 50 and a few beyond that (highest is 95) without a pet or anything else NX. However, for my main, far beyond 120, if you told me I could never use NX again, I'd just quit the game. I hate having to manually loot. I can't make the kind of meso I need, without a shop. I can train or boss without auto-hp, but it's stressful; all the more so for having no charms or wheels. And being unable to cube means being very, very weak, especially if I also don't have a shop to earn enough meso to be able to afford pre-cubed gear. Or even scrolled gear, for that matter. I would not enjoy the game under those conditions. Would you survive without NX? - Born2BeMild - 2010-12-29 Done it before, and doing it now. The answer is Yes, I can live without it. Would you survive without NX? - ThatWasMyKil - 2010-12-29 Could I? yes, would I? F'uck no. Would you survive without NX? - dpeterlin - 2010-12-29 Before I wouldn't spend any nx besides 2x cards on a char until it was 120 because that's when I felt I was more dedicated to it. With no more 2x cards I'd be fine doing it w/o nx. Would you survive without NX? - Alloy - 2010-12-29 Never spent a single cent on this game. Happy like the most. Would you survive without NX? - Flirtini - 2010-12-29 i don't play any chars that are ugly. all my chars, including mules, have exp hair. Would you survive without NX? - Jamie_Kurosawa - 2010-12-29 Depending on what I do, I could not survive without Nx. I use a pet and auto HP pouch for the majority of what I do which is bossing and training. Plus I always try to keep a 90-day Shop Permit to sell excess goods and occasionally Scissors of Karma to offload nice STR and DEX Scarlion helmets. I don't spend much mind you, but these keep me alive, and even funded. Would you survive without NX? - Forte - 2010-12-29 I only get NX for the thrill of gacha. It's like gambling to me. >.> Would you survive without NX? - Sarah - 2010-12-29 Got my Cygnus to 120 without using any NX whatsoever. On my way to getting Medillion there too. Would you survive without NX? - MetaSeraphim - 2010-12-29 With 2x cards taken out and new characters being able to get decent hair/eye/outfit I have no need for NX on new characters anymore. Would you survive without NX? - ShadyPriest - 2010-12-29 I don't like how you use the word "survive". For example, that may imply you're not having fun (more specifically others). Would you survive without NX? - Plasmablaster - 2010-12-29 For sure yes, I remember when NX did not even exist, still trained up to around 6x or so with about 5%/hour at Dangerous Valley II, Red Drakes. Definitely could do without, though I will admit pre-BB sometimes it was annoying in some situations (Not being able to find a map that is good to train), so I would get NX and just 2x card through the night to get out of certain training spots. Now it is different though, since BB has changed much things around, 0 - 120 without any NX is fine. 121 - 200 is a bit of a different story though, but we will leave that for another topic. Would you survive without NX? - Holypie - 2010-12-29 Without nx, yes. Getting to 120, no. I have the patiene of an impatient person, the highest character I've ever gotten was a 106 blaze wizard. Would you survive without NX? - Kitty - 2010-12-29 No, because i would not look smexy and would eventually delete my ugly character probably at like 119 or something because i just cant stand to look at it anymore. Would you survive without NX? - Alilatias - 2010-12-29 For the most part, yes. The only things I really care about from the cash shop at the moment are cubes (in which I haven't cubed anything yet, and probably won't for a really long time), hair coupons + perma hats (if I end up coming in possession of something fugly like my Ravana Helmet), and stores (which I can live without). Gachapon tickets could be a contender if Nexon wasn't freaking making a significant portion of the valuable things in there untradable, particularly those boosters and shoulderpads (which forces me to think about which character I should be gaching on - I probably won't gach until the Archer Legend is released at this rate). Would you survive without NX? - Pixie - 2010-12-29 Hmm, I'd most likely survive. Probably wont be as motivated to train without 2x since I'm used to it, so it would take a little longer. Nexon also has horrible event times for me. With the new range of hair/face when creating a character, I could possibly survive without nx clothes but I'd rather not. Something I'd definitely need is a store permit though. Way back in the day, I got to 18x without 2x cards on my bishop, this includes grinding to 16x as a priest. I finally bought 2x once the 4 hour cards were released - I had no time for the 10/30 day cards so that's why I did not purchased them. I had a pet which was given to me by a guildie (no pouch, magnet) when I was a noob & revived it during the release of 4th job when I was 16x. But I started to buy cosmetics & clothes at 10x/11x because my RL friend bought some NX & offered to buy for me too

I've already reached 200 on the characters I wanted to 'finish'. |
