Would you survive without NX?
#1
Let's that you had to get a character from 0 to at least 120. Would you be able to do it without using NX?

That means no pets (pouches, etc), no gachapon, no stores, no cubes, nothing that has to do with NX. Not paying attention to the MTS or to NX events.

I've been playing Maplestory since it was released, and have never bought any NX. I'm curious to see what other people think about this.

Short answer, yeah.

Considering I basically did it before...yeah.

I took a crusader up to 11x and never used a single NX point.

Lv 73 and no nx spent. Yep.

104 the only NX I used was on changing my hair, without 2x, there is really no need.

I get pretty annoyed without a pet to loot drops and a 1800 NX shop for 90 days but other than that, yeah don't really need NX. I almost never use NX on characters that aren't my current main, so I'm pretty used to it.

Not at the time, but currently I could yes. I needed a pet for a while to play cause I couldn't loot and couldn't afford to train without it (run out of money too quick). I'd say that was about 80-110 on my White Knight. Now you just make money at any level on any job so it's not a big deal.

Pre-Potential was a bit difficult, financially, but now we have it, as well as Big Bang(easier leveling), larger amounts of mesos dropped(I remember how few mesos the Ludibrium monsters dropped before), and many other examples.

I say yes, I can survive without NX. I've been doing alright in Zenith (not so much for Makering my equips, though), and spared a few extra mesos to donate to the guild.

Easily, I hardly ever buy NX in the first place.

I don't think I could because I hate when my characters look ugly. I'd be fine with in-game equips, but I'd need at least a face/hair coupon for me to take my character seriously.

Sad I know, but the aesthetics are so much of the game for me.

Same. I don't really get motivated unless my char is all NX'd up. Until recently, I prioritized permanent clothes over cubes Sad

Sure, got a character to level 70, without even thinking about charging NX.
Of course, I wouldn't mind, but I don't think it would really help me level up any faster.

even though i have voted i can go nxless it mostly depends on alot of things going on at the time . in the past no i couldnt because slow leveling and i liked having a pet , now days i would like to say yes i can because i've done it befor on my other chars on a different server , yet because i recently came back to gms and its my original and local ms and i decided to make a nx based class ( DB ) i am forced to use nx. i see nx less of an advantage then what it once used to be ( in most servers and cased ) .

Yeah, easily. I just view NX as a side-form of entertainment.

The only NX I've spent was clothes and pets. The pet loot really is nothing more than a luxury. The clothes do nothing to booster your experience of the game. To be fair for more results the poll should be more spread. Adding in "I buy NX for the clothes only." Or something along those lines. Gacha,2x, cubing etc fall under a completely different category of NX in my opinion. Clothing shouldn't be counted against you just because you buy them. No I don't mean rings I mean hat, top, bottom, shoes, and gloves.

I've gotten to my 100s or so before x2 cards came out. Never used NX before then.

Crap, voted no before I saw 1-120. That I usually do. 140+ then no.

Its acually really easy now. Before I would never have gotten to 110 without those few uses of 2x cards (Pre-BB) on my WK

Yeah, but I don't really like looting monster drops. If I was trying to level quickly to 120, I'd prefer a pet, but otherwise I'd be fine.
