Moar hackings? - LostWraith - 2010-08-20 Yes, I'd like to confirm that there is a new wave of hackings... not that I'm pointing any fingers at a specific source...
Spoiler
Norton says I'm clean. GMail shut them down before they could send a website link to a few select people on my address book, not everyone, the few people I know at various companies. I have no idea of the french website- i'm assuming that's what the .fr stands for and just by looks I'm assuming the hacker's account where all the info was being sent.I don't share accounts and none of my passwords are repeated on any site. None of my email accounts I use come back to the email address I used for my main MS account. I don't visit random sites except from work and even then I check my personal email from home. That's why I was a bit surprised to find that I was locked out of my GMail acct "due to suspicious activity found". Moar hackings? - Stereo - 2010-08-20 Spammers are breaking into GMail accounts with weak passwords, I doubt that's related. One of mine had the same thing and I switched to a more secure password. |
