MapleStory Memories - Jedward - 2010-05-18 This is friggin' hilarious. MapleStory Memories - FrozNlite - 2010-05-18 Considering we're in agreement that poor language usage lowers the image of any company, all I'll say is the "significance" of a public statement is always relative. I assure you if a prosecuting attorney needed to prove Nexon's inability to even communicate properly with their consumers in order to help strengthen a case against them, even seemingly "insignificant" public correspondence such as this would be used against the corporation. There's a reason why Miranda rights include the clause "anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law." If something can be taken a certain way, it will be used that way. Perhaps an even better analogy would be that of employers and controversial social networking photos. You may think that picture of you from last weekend's party with your friend holding a red cup looking shitfaced and you holding an Aquafina is "insignificant," but who can tell what some employers might think. You may think that picture of you from last weekend's party with your friend holding a red cup looking pomegranatefaced and you holding an Aquafina is "insignificant," but who can tell what some employers might think. Generally that clause of Miranda rights don't refer to grammar and spelling, but w/e -_- As well I'm more referring to your rather outlandish attitude (then again considering the site I'm on it's more expected...) since this is nothing but a joke and the fact you either directly lied or are just plain ignorant to the fact other companies (big and small) make mistakes as well. MapleStory Memories - Swerve - 2010-05-19 I remember Maplestory before Cash Shop was introduced. Thus that makes me older than you~ FrozNlite Wrote:Regardless of whether the message is supposed to be funny or serious, any public correspondence a mutli-million dollar, multi-national corporation has should be conducted with the utmost profession, which Nexon fails to do every single time. "Being funny" or "trying to connect to the lay" isn't a reason to gloss over editing. When was the last time you saw McDonalds, ABC, Nintendo, or any other large corporation, in specific instances of "funny public correspondence" "forget" to edit their message? Never. No prominent world corporation releases a public statement without proofreading it a million times to ensure it follows all rules and regulations of whatever language it is written. They do this because it's a sign of careless neglect/laziness/unprofessional conduct to communicate with your customers with poor usage of their native tongue. Gotta love capitalism. Bad analogy. Nexon isn't even on the stock market while NYSE: MCD, DIS, NTDOY are present. Companies like Blizzard exist under Vivendi SA: VIV. If Nexon was a stock option, they would probably care a lot more about their image. In addition, the amount of revenue that Nexon makes is open to speculation. When using the term multi-million you're leaving a pretty open margin. If you're looking for a serious investment then I would honestly try looking for a different company. The only thing this business has to offer is disappointment. Aside from issues with basic English that are absolutely unacceptable for public statements made by a multi-million dollar corporation that tries to prove they're "big time," the fundamental sentence structure and flow is comprable to that of 5th graders. Ugh. Only Cheezpuff's response was well-written. You're complaining about their grammar? REALLY? You might as well call the "Nexon Announcements" forum the "Hate on Nexon for Petty and Irrelevant Reasons" forum. MapleStory Memories - y0y0y0y0shi0 - 2010-05-20 The only good one is Tiara's. ...And I can actually relate to that. That glitch was FUN. |
