When does this take place? I was thinking about letting it take place in the Pokémon world as we know if from the games, but about 2 years after HG/SS/D/P/Pt (which appear to be the last in the current timeline). Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Sevii Islands, Orre, Fiore and Almia are a lot of regions, but I guess it could work out. *hops towards Chrono/Five-island*

I want to participate but have a few questions.

Is the virus considered a status effect?

Does this go by game logic or anime logic. AKA moves more than just damage dealing, fly can let you fly, stuff like that.

I think the virus would be something like the Shadow type in the Gamecube titles. Logic would be somewhat mixed, since my character rides on an Absol rather than a bike, but I think the battles would work better if they are like the game, although avoiding attacks should be more important (especially when fighting Zombie Pokémon). Nothing is really set in stone yet, because only a few posts have been made so far.

I don't think anything is banned right now, the story has just started. But go ahead, maybe it'll help shaping the battle system because I have no idea how we're going to do that (and I need to know for my next post).

Smart strategy with Safeguard, and since zombies tend to be stupid Encore can work wonders. I wonder what Magic Guard would do(although there isn't a Zombie Virus version of Will-O-Wisp and Toxic). You probably do know that super effective hits(keep Tyranitar away from fighting type moves) and powerfull attacks(OHKO attacks, Explosion, etc.) and maybe critical hits of a Zombie Pokémon can infect most Pokémon(and I'm not sure if having Pokémon with a certain temperature inside their bodies being immune is such a good idea). Draining a Pokémon with Liquid Ooze should also infect.

Any additional stats/attacks for Zombie Pokémon (besides being able to infect others)? I think since it's messed up Pokérus they should grow faster, but not learn extra moves, unless a Pokémon has a really crappy movepool. Just like normal Pokérus, but with better growth, doesn't spread as fast and has a negative effect on strategies of wild Pokémon/Trainers, unless they're supposed to be really smart, then they become an evil genius zombie.

tyranitar cant be harmed. They can explode a nuke and he wont be harmed. The pokedex doesnt lie. fighting attacks included cannot harm it

also, rotom is plasma and a ghost... so that wouldnt work. The plasma would kil the virus on the off chance that something hit it.

Also, ive never RP'd before.. what do i do/how do i start?

It's exactly like Pokerus.

I follow the manga logic. It's basically Pokemon...in real life. You do not need to teach a Pokemon Fly to actually hop on it and take off somewhere. The virus is exactly like Pokerus. Just zombified.

1. The cake Pokedex is a lie. I put a precaution in the actual RPG just in case. Assume stupid entires in the Pokedex as wrong.

2. All Pokemon can be infected, but with various rates of getting infected.

3. Confirm this is actually your team with the above points in mind.

Oh, and SafeGuard only works for 5 (or 8) turns.

Bit of a backstory. This kid is a trouble maker. He will go around and use his pokemon to set up traps, surprise other trainers with traps dug by his Seviper and/or stun them with his Sableye, then use his Poliwrath to force the other trainers to give in to his demands, then use his Sableye's Flash and Smoke Ball to make a hasty get-away. He was an avid fan of Team Rocket, as is obvious by his choice of clothing color, and when he was younger would always pretend to be a member of the crime syndicate. Now, however, after the dissolution of the group, he decided to go out and act on his own accord. After hearing about the outbreak of the mutated pokerus, he decided that it'd be the perfect opening he needed to wreak havoc and have as much fun as possible.

Has a massive crush on Lucy of the Battle Pike.

Yay. Just start with 3.
