''Hey, that Terraria game has been looking kinda neat to me lately. Huh? Whoa, it's 75% off till tomorrow?! I'm going to buy it!''

*Walks out in 96°F heat to the store to put money on my credit card*

*Gets home, takes off hoodie and beanie* ''Phew, pretty warm out this summer! Time to buy that Terraria-thing! W-what....? 50% off? Did I miss something? It was 75% off when I left though...! Frown''

Thanks for the heads up, Steam, glad I was informed this would happen. /sarcasm

The sales change at 10AM PST, and there's a countdown till then at the store...

EDIT: Wait, nvm, that's odd. No idea why they changed it.

Terraria discussion thread - Dark Link - 2011-07-09

I wouldn't doubt if they changed it due to it being really cheap for a relatively newish game.

For those that are bored, check out the Maps section on the Terraria forums - tons of cool user-made adventure maps of all types, creating "classes" and exploring things, doing jump quests, etc. I've logged a lot of hours on quite a few.

As for the price adjustment...Valve messed up? Who knows. :/ Still, $5.00 is a deal. Heck, I would've paid $20 for it. Logging 150+ hours on a game that costs $10? No room to complain at all.

Terraria discussion thread - Olsi - 2011-07-09

this game seems like it would rival minecraft... LF> $30 to upgrade to max OS X 10.6 for steam.

Wow, thanks for the suggestion. I never knew there were things like that, plus there's a TON of adventure maps. Why must you do this to me!? Frown

Oh, don't get me wrong, I still bought it.

But it's the principle of the matter! *Shakes fists*

Sorry? Tongue I've played a ton of different maps and just delete them once I finish. Some are meant for multiple players too - although you can complete them on your own. Any of the ones that have been featured as Map Feature in the Announcements section are good ones to do.

My god, I've been playing for just a few days and I've put in some serious hours.

The RPG, and even Platforming aspects of this game are addicting. I got this for that 50% discount, and I think that was a total steal in my opinion. I'm getting more enjoyment from this several-dollar game than I have in years of $40~50 console and hand-held games, and most of those games won't even get as much as 5~7hours of gameplay before they're rotting on the shelf.

Wow, never knew about this. Guess I'll be increasing my current 50 hours of play on this game.

Currently a little bored :x
Waiting for the new update to come out...
And my friend went on a vacation a while and his brother too.
And my nephew can't play today.
Playing alone isn't that fun after a while.

I used the White because I already had it before the Zero suit, but now that I have the Zero suit I decided it was time for the Green:

Quote:Weapon tool-tips now state what kind of damage they do so you can choose what weapon to bring with you. This also opens up for us the chance to implement enemies that receive more or less damage from certain damage types later on (However that part won’t happen this patch).

Really can't wait for that, especially.

I'm guessing it would be like: Hellstone equipment is stronger to ''grass-type'', such as the Jungle enemies. The Dungeon equipment could possibly be more effective for Underworld since the Dungeon equipment is almost all Water-based except the Magic Missle and Handgun.
