The first KMST change made it hit 450%x4, thus almost doubling GMS's current BStep strength. Cactuar in 1.2.318 thread Wrote:- Venom now adds +40% damage for an 8 second duration. Makes no sense to me. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Arroz - 2010-06-22 ROFLMAOMGWTH Wrote:If I'm understanding it right, BStep isn't nerfed at all. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - MetaSeraphim - 2010-06-22 You can't really blame people for thinking of past patches. Sure, they could read better. But something like this has never happened on this scale before, so. . . [1.2.320] Massive Buff - iFrancisco - 2010-06-22 Nature Wrote:I remember someone saying meso explosion combined with assassinate and boomerang step combo yield theoretically the highest damage output for shadowers. Hopefully greed improves the meso related skills that much. Well we cant know anything till Nexon fixes the thief job and makes it accessible. That was likely either me or Straybird. It is very true that dropping mesos while using the combo (although, there is a glitch where you get stuck in DS... so usually SB+BS is used) will yield the most DPS for Shadowers, even though this number is hard to quantify and never included in DPS tables. If ME is significantly better, then the slight nerf on Assassinate and BS may not be too bad (but why nerf them at all??? From GMS standards I mean). We have to wait and see how good ME is first, but I don't like the idea of relying on money to yield the most damage since that gets costly after a while (and tiring from mashing the keyboard/mouse). [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Kaasoljoyyx - 2010-06-22 @Shadowers: Why don't you guys just wait 2 days and you'll probably get a buff. Seriously, remmeber 2 days ago everyone said bishops were gonna die out, and bishops suck, and every single bishop hated the patch and wanted Nexon to die. Just think about it before complaining -_- [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Abysseon - 2010-06-22 FrozNlite Wrote:Because, like I said, summons attack 3 enemies every 3 seconds. IIRC the current cast rate of the Demons is 80 or 84 casts per minute with Lv. 11+ booster, which means you can cast ~4-5 Demons in the time it takes a summon to attack. 4-5 Demons = 24-30 chances to freeze. As compared to 3. My point is, if I/Ls are upset about their lack of freezing, they should ask for that with Ice Demon. Yeah, a freezing ice demon would be nice if its length of time/mob targets were increased although those summons are still a problem. They're just too slow/lolworthy for the game. =s Also, before this revamp was introduced, we could mass freeze/mob control with blizzard and it made sense with the storyline. Now that blizzard has a cooldown with only 2-3 seconds of freeze at later levels, there's no longer the idea of being an ice mage present in fourth job. None of your skills can freeze... My problem with these updates is that paralyze can 'freeze' the mob for 10 seconds while none of the i/l skill sets have anywhere near that efficiency. I don't think that nexon can balance these two mages while keeping the flavor of the game present but they did surprise me with the big bang update. Well it's not like I can see any videos or pictures of it in action, due to the glitch, and forced to try to understand the wording on it.

They could always give Big Bang a Fire/Ice/Holy element. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Alloy - 2010-06-22 Loose Wrote:I'm hoping they lower our (Shadower) damage because they plan on increasing the skills attacking speed and lowering delays. And making Assassinate hit 10 times in 1 second, without forcing a launch at the monster for the last hit. I was actually thinking this. It'd make shadowers even more fun to play, choosing everything at the EXACT moment. It's basically what the difference between NLs and Shadowers should be: Night Lords move fast, shadowers attack fast. Imagine if assaulter was twice as fast, and the main DPS would be hopping between a monster's sides. Sure, can be painful, but new hp formula helps there, since Meso Guard makes any hp gain be worth the double. Big Bang needs to stay neutral, at least for Bishops. They don't get reset, and they only have ONE element, so they're fucked against holy immunes aside from claw and big bang. I guess they buffed it that much so in return, you can't have extra damage with it. Makes sense to me. Makes you have to choose your attacks accordingly. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - foxtales - 2010-06-22 FrozNlite Wrote:What do elements MATTER? Buddy, Elemental Reset is not overkill. Think about it this way. The majority of classes that use elements in this game (Paladins, Corsairs, and Arans are the first that come to mind in this example) have the ability to turn their elements on and off at whim, allowing them only to incorporate them when it suits them for extra damage. They don't get shafted (well, Pallys kind of do, but not as much) like Magicians. Magicians, on the other hand, have passive elemental attributes to nearly every skill. This isn't something we can "turn off," but rather have to deal with appropriately with each mob. While it would seem that's no big deal, let me just anecdote you by saying at a Targa run I attended before I quit, with all my best gear at Lv. 200, I was able to spam 10-15k max Fire Demons on Targa the whole time. That's it. Big Bang was helpful, but not spammable, and regardless a mob that's immune to poison and resistant to fire screws us over hardcore. I... I didn't even mention Elemental Reset. Did I? The point I was trying to make, was that Big Bang has become so strong that it outdamages all other skills. Even if a monster were weak to Fire , Big Bang would still be the strongest option- and it's just barely behind paralyze on poison weak. And I entirely agree that taking these changes too seriously before they're finalized is a waste of energy, and have practically stated that in all my posts...
