Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Curry - 2016-07-11 Any information about the new formula for the critical damage? In kmst I have 15%critical damage, but my critical damage is at least 1.5 times more than my non-critical damage... Hmm... could you try testing how high your max non crit damage is vs your max crit damage? Both with the 15% crit damage added on, and without, if you could. Comparing the numbers should hopefully shed some light on how it works. In the case of heroes, I pray they decide to delete that ugly sword summon and give us instead a permanent, multitarget, Enraged Ragging Blow. Thats all, please... In each image, look at the chatbox, ignoring the Burning Field Experience 100%, for simplicity sake. 1. HS In this image, the last 3 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (24684) [1x] Buff Bonus Experience (12342) [0.5x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 1.5x EXP, as one might expect. 2. 2x EXP Rest Coupon In this image, we see the last 3 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (24684) [1x] Additional Experience (12342) [0.5x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 1.5x EXP, which is definitely not what one would expect. Could it be that the rest exp coupons are only 1.5x EXP? Additionally, testing with a 30 minute 2x EXP coupon results in the same 0.5x line being added rather than another 1x line. (Note: I did not record how much experience I actually received, so this might be an error in output, but not in actual experience gained). 3. HS, 2x EXP Rest Coupon In this image, we see the last 4 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (16720) [1x] Additional Experience (8360) [0.5x] Buff Bonus Experience (8360) [0.5x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 2x EXP. 4. 2x EXP Rest Coupon, Rune In this image, we see the last 4 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (24684) [1x] Additional Experience (12342) [0.5x] Buff Bonus Experience (24684) [1x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 2.5x EXP. 5. Rune, HS In this image, we see the last 3 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (24684) [1x] Buff Bonus Experience (37026) [1.5x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 2.5x EXP. Here you can see that HS and Rune Buff experience now occupy the same EXP line, and that they (appear to) stack additively. 6. Rune, HS, 2x EXP Rest Coupon In this image, we see the last 4 lines of experience gained are: Base Experience (24684) [1x] Additional Experience (12342) [0.5x] Buff Bonus Experience (37026) [1.5x] And then the burning field bonus. For a total of 3x EXP. I'm not sure what to conclude here, other than 2x buff coupons give 1.5x EXP for some reason, and that they now appear to be additive with HS rather than multiplicative, kind of like what we thought happened last time, but well, it actually is happening this time. I feel like there were already some EXP coupons that stacked additively with HS (just giving another 100% line rather than going into the EXP buff/coupon/card/HS line), but I don't believe Rest Coupons fall under that category. I'm unsure if this change has already occurred in KMS or not, but I could check after the 5th job patch on Thursday. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - hadriel - 2016-07-13 Last 2 spoilers missing a [IMG] start tag. Do the hover text on the EXP coupons still say 2X EXP? If so, they may have done something backend, which could be intentional (read: nerf) or unintentional (read: someone screwed up). Hadriel Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Grey - 2016-07-13 Thanks, and yeah, the coupons still say they give 2x EXP. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Justin - 2016-07-13 Seems a bit counter intuitive to lower exp requirements overall but then nerf exp coupons, no? Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - SaptaZapta - 2016-07-13 Justin Wrote:Seems a bit counter intuitive to lower exp requirements overall but then nerf exp coupons, no? The lowered requirements are only up to level 200. Coupons and such work to 250. That's what I meant, though. 1 to 200 is the most important part of the game, arguably, for new players. So nerfing bonus exp coupons while lowering exp tnl just seems counter to the point. Most events include those coupons now in plentiful amounts, so I just don't see the point in nerfing them, assuming it's intentional. Why slow down leveling? They wanted to slow down leveling 200-250. Especially with the new area out, in addition to Scrapyard, I guess they were afraid people would zoom to 250 too fast. 1-200 is just collateral damage. HighOnMushrooms Wrote:"Cash Wardrobes will be shared between the same jobs" Hmm... Which begs the question: what jobs are considered "same"? In the video, she shared equips from a Mercedes to an Aran, so I guess they're finally letting Cygnus/Resistance/Heroes/Nova share within their own jobs like Adventurers
Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Grey - 2016-07-13 All the enhancement cores have had their boss damage bonuses removed from their strings. They left the variable (bdR = log50(level) * 20) in the skills themselves, but changed the max level of all the enhancement cores to 40, so you'll never ever get it high enough for boss damage to be non-zero. It looks like most, if not all, of the skill cores max at 20 now. So far, from what I can see, there doesn't appear to be many scaling changes such that the skills would be the same as they were before if you were at max level (so overall, every skill is weaker), they also removed the extra target enhancement from some skills, and decreased some of the final damage bonuses on some skills. Also Rope Connect has a 3 second cooldown instead of 5 seconds. Okay, as far as I can tell, in general, unless you're a Marksman, you got totally screwed this patch (compared to the last KMST patch), Marksman got a bit buffed. Maplestory "High Five" Private Showcase - Cactuar - 2016-07-13 Well, that's disappointing - did they put cannoneer's bullet thing back down to 100%? |
