[1.2.320] Massive Buff - xVanity - 2010-06-22 After a nerf to assassinate like that, i'd expect them to remove the need to be in darksight in order to use it And maybe down cast time or add more hits as they like to do so much [1.2.320] Massive Buff - MozAngeles - 2010-06-22 I still don't see any positive significant changes to Dark Knights. The Ones who've HP washed get owned. Changing Berserk's 200% damage % away is a slap to the face. Even with one of the biggest damage increase, We still arent as efficient as other classes...And to see that they're adding an extra attack to Brandish and/or Heroes new skill is crazy!(Not In a good way) The new HP threshold is really depressing, I take pride in being able to boss/train/bf and control my character with my HP under 50%. Fixing the threshold just makes it seem a walk in the park.... I'm now working on getting my Dark Knight to 200 before they even consider this patch to come to GMS ''LF> Something good to look forward to.

Agreed. I'm still waiting to hear about about the whereabouts of Beholders Revenge and How exactly Dark Force works. Although, The Damage increase On Beholders Revenge is nice...just not quite understandable(for myself at least). [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Meeru - 2010-06-22 To be honest, this patch made me wanting to play maple after some hiatus. Too bad shadowers aren't given much attention here, though it is still my favourite and main class. Let's just say shads have never been the top in training or damage wise; benefits were really some survivability, versatility and fun (we move quick and bs our way through thick mobs). Giving night lords the same % of shadow shifter does seem to undermine shadowers, at least that's how I feel. Boost for thieves is really encouraging, too bad I've been way past 3rd job to reap the full benefits of leveling fast. My first gen char sb-ed his way through to lvl90+... That being put aside, change up in assaulter could do some good. But if the animation itself takes long to complete, eg. 5 sb's can be done in the span of 1 assaulter, things don't necessarily look good. Though some regard assassinate as 'powerful', I think this notion should be dispelled. It isn't the main skill in training, and interferes with survivability sometimes during fights with tough bosses. Damage is okay now, could have been better with v1.2.319, but quite unjustified for v1.2.320. Though things might be interesting since the damage cap is now increased, however most average people will still have trouble hitting 199999 x 4. Meso explosion and pickpocket formula also has been changed, and benefits from greed as well. ME usage during training with pickpocketed mesos ...perhaps I should say is sometimes pitiful. Maybe things were really improved this time. (I think the current balance patch adjusted pickpocket as well, but I do not see it being as viable as other core skills) Since the thief job advancement is bugged now, I really do hope that Nexon gathers feedback from their test results and decide what to truly do with shadowers in up coming updates. ps. I don't think people have forgotten about dark knights, I would try to evaluate how this current revamps will affect them but unfortunately I do not play one and don't have a feel of it. You can do 1.25 Savage Blows per Assaulter. 319's Assaulter was overpowered. Anyone who thinks otherwise obviously has no idea what they're talking about. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Devil - 2010-06-22 HolyStrikerH Wrote:why LOLSHADOWER, u got it all wrong. in basil it says: And now it is, compared to the first patch: - Steal > 130% > 220% > 300%: +36% - Assaulter > 1x 500% > 4x 340% (1360%) > 4x 180% (720%): -47% - Band of Thieves > 250% > 390% > 2x 230% (460%): +18% - Assassinate > 4x 600% > 4x 740% > 4x 480%: -35% <- Weaker then it is now in gMS... - Boomerang Step > 2x 500% > 4x 450% > 2x 450% -50% <- Weaker then it is now in gMS... [1.2.320] Massive Buff - iamflip - 2010-06-22 The only thing I can say in regards to the cleric/priest/bishop updates is this: ![]() I'd be really be into Maple a lot again if these changes spread to GMS. Although... with all of the formulas changed and whatnot, I have to wonder how this will all effect stat-less people. :/ [1.2.320] Massive Buff - MozAngeles - 2010-06-22 iamflip Wrote:The only thing I can say in regards to the cleric/priest/bishop updates is this: To be honest, I dont see a big effect on stat-less characters. As a Dexless Dark Knight, I dont have any plans on resetting AP into dex nor adding into it with the remaining levels that I have to 200. With the new gear that will be in game and such, a lot of old gear we currently have will possibly be obsolete and/or be factored in old with the new... That is of course if this formula doesnt totally screw us all up. I hope not.. It does worry me though seeing a level 124 magician miss on a level 97 monster....It can be his equips though.
[1.2.320] Massive Buff - OrangeGuy - 2010-06-22 So... After this patch, is it better to get Shockwave or Blast for Marauders? Not to mention, are the invicibility frames for CSB back? [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Skylit - 2010-06-22 Gogreen Wrote:The only two things they nerfed were Assualter and Assasinate, Assualter probaly because the total 1360% damage would be overkill compared to other 3rd jobs, and Assasinate, I have no clue why but hopefully to make way for a future update for the benefiet of shadowers, to me it seems that shadowers seem heavily nerfed compared to other classes because shadowers got no real big buff like EVERYONE ELSE When compared to current GMS skills, they only nerfed Bstep and Assassinate. KMST v2 = BSTEP 450%x2, Assassinate 480% GMS .86 = BSTEP 500%x2, Assassinate 600% Assualter is still an upgrade at 720% Again, no reason to QQ. The other upgraded skills make up for it IMO. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Meeru - 2010-06-22 JoeTang Wrote:You can do 1.25 Savage Blows per Assaulter. Yes that assaulter was overpowered. But you didn't get what I'm trying to say by a lengthier animation of assaulter (somehow I doubt they are going to keep the current one, seems weird to have 4 numbers popping up so quickly) for eg. like barrage or demolition, and even then this are all under a hypothetical IF. I only thought it would be obvious to understand if I used such extreme values like 5sb's to 1 assaulter. Yes skylit, the new greed skill seems very promising indeed. I think most people are just perhaps dissatisfied because (in my opinion) BS and assassinate weren't too overpowered to deserve a nerf, thats all. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Des - 2010-06-22 not really sky~ they make up for it in terms of training but not when it becomes to bossing~ also about assaulter as above said we dont really know how much time it takes to cast new assaulter if the casting time is like 2 secs then 1360%/2 thats only 680%/second (to be honest thats not much looking at other jobs that does equal dmg in shorter time) and btw anyone still remember their Q&A ? f3 Quote:The Arch Mage will probably get a skill rebalance (because you have to agree that the Arch Mage is weak) along with Shadower and Paladin. [sarcasm]guess we're 2 strong in their eyes thats why we need nerf [/sarcasm] oh well -waiting for another patch- [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Nature - 2010-06-22 I remember someone saying meso explosion combined with assassinate and boomerang step combo yield theoretically the highest damage output for shadowers. Hopefully greed improves the meso related skills that much. Well we cant know anything till Nexon fixes the thief job and makes it accessible. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - FrozNlite - 2010-06-22 Abysseon Wrote:Hmm, maybe nexon can adjust the summons to make them more efficent. Because, like I said, summons attack 3 enemies every 3 seconds. IIRC the current cast rate of the Demons is 80 or 84 casts per minute with Lv. 11+ booster, which means you can cast ~4-5 Demons in the time it takes a summon to attack. 4-5 Demons = 24-30 chances to freeze. As compared to 3. My point is, if I/Ls are upset about their lack of freezing, they should ask for that with Ice Demon. foxtales Wrote:I suppose... this seems like overkill however. And what do elements matter when you have that absurdly godly neutral Big Bang to toss around? ): What do elements MATTER? Buddy, Elemental Reset is not overkill. Think about it this way. The majority of classes that use elements in this game (Paladins, Corsairs, and Arans are the first that come to mind in this example) have the ability to turn their elements on and off at whim, allowing them only to incorporate them when it suits them for extra damage. They don't get shafted (well, Pallys kind of do, but not as much) like Magicians. Magicians, on the other hand, have passive elemental attributes to nearly every skill. This isn't something we can "turn off," but rather have to deal with appropriately with each mob. While it would seem that's no big deal, let me just anecdote you by saying at a Targa run I attended before I quit, with all my best gear at Lv. 200, I was able to spam 10-15k max Fire Demons on Targa the whole time. That's it. Big Bang was helpful, but not spammable, and regardless a mob that's immune to poison and resistant to fire screws us over hardcore. That's why Nexon invented Elemental Reset for Blaze Wizards, and why I can't believe we didn't get it sooner. It's the perfect skill for those with passive elements who need a way to make elements only beneficial when desired, not a death sentence at certain mobs (ex. when Neo Tokyo was first released all ArchMages sighed because everything is resistant/immune to elements. We can't do anything on such mobs). So please. Big Bang helps, but it's not perfect, and Elemental Reset is a godsend. To the point where the last 10 points I have saved for MW30 will go to maxing that skill if we don't get our SP reset with this patch. Bribery Wrote:That's true, Big Bang's massive upgrade slipped my mind. I guess it's Booster and Amp vs Bishop's Critical when it comes down to Big Bang. (Do Booster and Amp even affect Big Bang?) Both Mages will have an easier time using Big Bang due to their AoE freezing though. FP at least have Mist to increase their training, though that depends on how the new poison system works. IL Arch Mages are really getting shafted here. Like foxtales said, Booster and Amp both affect any magic-based attack, including neutral Big Bang and Magic Claw. foxtales Wrote:With Paralyze mobbing, all other skills except Big Bang become obselete. Paralyze is just barely stronger than Big Bang, but has the stun/DoT effect, but Big Bang may be more effective in a mob if misses are so common, since it will have much more stable damage. I suspect an Arch Mage training with Paralyze and Big Bang will be 10~20% faster than a Bishop training with Big Bang. However, i havn't considered summons, and Bahamut grossly outdamages an Arch Mage's, and if Crit Ring's are still useable, Bishop will have another clear advantage. If we factor in Holy Symbol, and maybe even Sharp Eyes, an Arch Mage falls far behind a Bishop. I would be wary to say all of this "without a doubt," as we don't know how the new crit system works, yet DO know how essential Amp is in increasing damage all around. For all we know, the constant buffed damage from Amp might outweigh the new crit system. Regardless, this is all KMST. QQing and making final declarations is silly in light of all this occurring in a test server. [1.2.320] Massive Buff - DeanNim - 2010-06-22 A poll on the asiasoft forums tied between the amount of bishops who are staying and bihsops who are quitting. its a 50-50 including my vote(staying). If anyone read my comment earlier, then this totally implies hat 50% of bishops in maplesea are in only for genesis. Or perhaps now that the class trains at the same speed as every other class, people don't see it being worth it to invest time into a support class, when the same amount of time would have gotten them just as far in any another class. I'm still staying just so i can have that smexy bigbang
[1.2.320] Massive Buff - chrisloup - 2010-06-22 as of current. in maplesea. bigbang and magic claw are NOT affected by elemental amplification. neither does it affect summons. and currently, big bang has the charge release thing going on, which is terribly annoying if you release the charge in the air when you bump into a mob. (and because its charge and release, I doubt booster is going to be any use.) [1.2.320] Massive Buff - Loose - 2010-06-22 I'm hoping they lower our (Shadower) damage because they plan on increasing the skills attacking speed and lowering delays. And making Assassinate hit 10 times in 1 second, without forcing a launch at the monster for the last hit.
