I've been playing Maple since September of 2005 and always enjoyed the game and most things to do with it. Basil was a decent place to buy and trade as was Sleepywood for a time and its many forums and members.

Recently, someone was banned there that had Fiel's name in her signature and something about him having a website. I researched this name having remembered it slightly from Sleepywood or in some random post or thread long before and I like to snoop around now and than to see what's going on.

To begin with I was never in the know about anything and generally kept to myself updated my story thread on SW and posted here and there. Anything about flaming, drama and the inner workings of anything on that site or any site is above me and still is. However, with Fiel's explanation here I think I have an okay understanding of events and am glad he made his own website being in the situation he was in.

I'm also glad to be apart of a newly created Maple site as I'll be a spectator in this whole mess and see how things turn out.

So yeah, I'm new, informed and am glad to be a part of this new venture.

Hi. This is a video I made back when 500 PPQs were required for the level 90 hat. Y'know, before they made it three-fifths the number of PPQs required and making the monsters even easier to kill.

Boring history behind this:
Originally, I had intended to make a video of me + friends killing Enraged Lord Pirate, but that never worked out since there was never a time me and 5 of my friends in the PPQ level range were on and were willing to PPQ. xD So I had the intro and credits pretty much done and sitting around, so I figured when I got to 500 PPQs, I could make a video of that or something, since 500 is a whole lot. And I managed to get two friends to PPQ with me. :O

Literacy is a guild formed by Sal (Fewd) and as of now led by me, Jiraimeep. Literacy is a guild founded with the idea of bringing together people who can type literately. The guild is set at the max number of members, 100, and is looking to place names in the remaining empty slots. We're generally up for anything to our capabilities, which ranges from just about all pqs to paps. We are allied with the guild Mydnight, so don't expect to use the purple guild chat much, alliance chat all the way, baby! I'm writing the guide, not to set in stone a path for warriors but rather something to lend a hand to all warriors: not only to help a new warrior get started but also to help the seasoned warrior to best squeeze those last few stat points from their equip.

Accuracy Basics: What every warrior should know.[/SIZE]
What makes dex for warriors so complicated is that fact that it can be whatever.
Our equips DO NOT require dex to equips; we want dex for the Acc it gives.

There is a certain amount of Acc you need to hit that monster 100%. If you have less than that, you will obviously only hit a percent of the time.
This amount is determined by the difference between your level and the monsters level and the avoid of the monster.

Quote:Accuracy formula (taken from 十DREAM十's thread):

A = ( 55 + (2 x D) ) x ( E / 15 )
--------- or another way to write it ----------
A = ( 55 + (2 x D) ) / 15 x E

A = 100% hit accuracy
D = Monster level minus Your character's level. If this number is negative (meaning your character is higher level than the monster, then use 0)
E = evasion/avoidability of monster.

That means, as you level, the amount to 100% hit the monster decreases; however it remains the same once your level is greater than the monster's.

I'm a 16X BM, and I spent a good deal of time and money getting there, including washing my HP, but it turns out that the only legit group on my server doesn't need me, and prefers to run with Marksmen. Could any group put me to use so that I may eventually loot a pendant?

And does anyone train on gMS anymore, or is it mostly just Bishop + Bishop parties, or Bishop + Leecher? I just came back from a break, and it seems to be even worse than when I left. If there are any servers that discourage this, I would appreciate knowing about them as well, as this is what gave me the final push to consider moving. I have no problem at all training with any class, but I really mean it when I say NO ONE trains, all of my potential party members are hanging on ropes. I do train with a few odd Paladins and F/Ps sometimes, but I rarely see them.

The only requirement I have is that the runners don't hack or bot (specifically in the FM), only because that kills the whole purpose of a "game" for me.

What is the "Ask a Thief Thread?"

It is a thread (hopefully sticked!) that will allow you to ask as many questions you can ask to the Thieves of Maple. They will try their best to answer your question/concern.

All you have to do post your question/concern. It would be very helpful if the question was to the point, specific, and preferably readable! It's just so that the Warriors can understand you.
