Drops (Worst EVER): 2 Zakum Helmets (Disappeared), AR 10 (I told you it was teh lulz ;D)
Thanks for all the congratulations everyone! It was definitely a big goal of mine to solo Zakum, and while I've had the ability to do so for a while now I didn't really get the motivation until a few friends started realizing "hey, this LOLFP could actually be the 1st one in GMS to solo da big rawk." So, the pressure began, and instead of finishing the below goals before soloing (as was originally planned), I went in with what I had and did much better than I thought. This was actually my third attempt in the last 2 weeks, the first two failing due to negligent deaths at the beginning of 3rd Body as I was falling asleep. This time I started much earlier than before, had lots of food, and listened to the epic Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (V for Vendetta fans will recognize this classic), and Chevaliers de Sangreal (final scene song from The Da Vinci Code) over and over throughout 3rd Body until it was dead. It was grueling, since you constantly have to be on your toes, but well worth it. Thanks again for all the comments!
Now I do have one question for the general GMS population: my time was faster than a fellow Khainian Bishop's (misscass) time by 50 minutes, and aside from her I've not heard of any other faster GMS Magician Zakum Solo times. Do I currently hold the fastest time or is there someone else I'm not aware of (just out of curiosity)? Thanks!

Spoiler
I received a few requests to post this information, so without further ado, here goes:
I'm currently Lv. 170, with max Paralyze, Meteor Shower, Fire Demon, Elquines, and Maple Warrior. I also have 13 in Big Bang, 11 in Booster, and max/normal stats everything else. In terms of magic, my base magic without buffs is 1189, so when plugged into the famous MATK Score formula I have a 321 score. For this run I used only my Lv. 130 Poison Elemental Wand.
My 4th job build was very...experimental, if you will, considering I was already Lv. 130 when they were released, and at the time (and for a few months before), the debate raging on the forums was whether or not to max ultimates to train with early on, or to max the Demon/Summon/Single Target combo for training. From January to April of last year I went from 130-134, and followed the latter of the arguments for training. At this point Skelegons were extremely new maps, so during the night hours when I normally trained I could easily get two Dragon's Nest Left Behind maps for dual channel misting with 4th job skills. By the time I was 134, I was training at a 6m exp/hr rate without 2x using mist and 4th jobs skills (the time when I filmed this video), and had 1 Paralyze, 1 Meteor Shower, 20 Elquines, and 23 Fire Demon.
I then took a hiatus for school and came back at the end of May to rebuild my equips and essentially my entire character, as the game as a whole had changed immensely by the time I came back. By this time, it was well known that ultimates should be maxed first, so I instantly started training again and pumping every single point into Meteor Shower, which I maxed at Lv. 144. I was training extremely fast at Newts (100% 2hkoing), and realized this was definitely the way to go. To finish off, I then maxed Paralyze (max at Lv. 154), then added 10 to Maple Warrior (10 by Lv. 157). At this point it was near the end of July, and Maple Warrior 20 books were extremely rare HT-only drops, so as I kept attending HT runs and waiting for my turn to loot, I maxed Elquines (max at Lv. 160), then Fire Demon (max Lv. 163). I then took another hiatus, this time just from training, and spent a few months upgrading and buying books. By the time New Years rolled around, I had already maxed Maple Warrior at Lv. 166 and was adding points into Big Bang.
That's my story. For F/Ps just beginning their 4th job career's, I would strongly recommend NOT following my build, as my experiments showed I could have trained a lot faster a lot earlier had I tried the other path. I personally like my build when I came back from hiatus and started maxing Meteor Shower, as it allowed me to get the essential training skill immediately in order to get the essential bossing skills more quickly. My only regret is that I couldn't max Maple Warrior sooner, but it was hardly a setback.
For my final 30 levels, I'll max Big Bang (now that the 30 books drop in CWKPQ), then Mana Reflection, then save 10 points for MW30, then raise Infinity to Lv. 24 before maxing Booster (the last two may switch spots depending on what I need).
I believe SeiiShiko (sp?), the first Pirate to solo Zakum, posted his thread in the General MapleStory section as well.
Now of course I'm only the first of a subclass, but I felt the thread was fine in this section for two reasons: (A) F/P ArchMages are usually treated as the butt-end of the classes in this game, with jokes like LOLFP and generally more open insulting of the class than any other in the game. I felt an accomplishment like this should be noted as an antithesis to such comments these past few years, and (B) because I may also hold the current fastest GMS Magician solo time, which is just as general as SeiiShiko's (sp?) thread.
Of course if Isaac, Fiel, etc. wish to move this to the Magician subforum I have no complaints, but please don't mar a thread with any comments like these. Unless of course, your goal is to start as much drama in this thread as possible, to which I don't understand why you'd waste your time.

No, he didn't.

I don't care if you solo'd Zakum as a Beginner. Doesn't make you any different then others who solo'd Zak. This belongs in the Mage section. End of story.
Opeth Wrote:My bad. Let's give him special treatment because he's a poorly treated FP arch mage.
News flash: I don't care about Zakum solos.
Okay. That's not very interesting to know either. Of course there's people like you. But to crash the party, you are one special something aren't you =P

I wouldn't be surprised if one already has... I duoed with my bishop buddy at 15x, and was planning on soloing. I knew it was completely possible after the duo considering how many pots I brought, how many I actually used, time I took, etc, but I just don't see the point in wasting my time with a solo now, since it really wouldn't be a big deal imo since warriors can do zak solos at 14x. =/ Just a huge waste of money on apples and pots.
